Program Overview
About The Role

Peraton is currently seeking a senior level Huntsville-based Account Manager with a proven record of winning business in the DoD arena. The ideal candidate will have the ability to identify and win business opportunities in the Army & MDA Account utilizing a structured and repeatable business development process.  The right person will have experience pursuing programs with the following but not limited to US Army and Missile Defense Agency (MDA) clients based at Redstone Arsenal.  Additional Army customer experience is a plus. It is important for the candidate to have experience building a robust, targeted pipeline of opportunities that will drive growth and ensure that goals are met.  Critical skill sets include strong strategic planning abilities and an unrelenting focus on winning business with the above customers. It is also important that the candidate have a current network of Army and MDA contacts as well as relationships within the systems integration, IT, and mission solution communities.  Candidate must be able to work collaboratively and professionally with different teams of experts across Peraton, our partners and consultants and maintain consistent lines of communication both written and oral.

  • Manage and leverage resources to create, identify, develop, and qualify opportunities through the business development lifecycle
  • Achieve growth goals through winning new business, securing contract recompetes, and driving organic program growth
  • Develop and maintain an active pipeline of opportunities in alignment and consistent with corporate strategy and goals
  • Primary interface with customer community, building customer relationships through effective communications, with both internal and external customer bases
  • Develop and execute strategies to "shape" requirements and acquisition strategies
  • Identify and target new business markets, adjacencies, and partnerships
  • Assist in guiding potential customers by demonstrating technology solutions, architectures, capabilities, and potential acquisition paths for early-stage opportunities, working with internal technical and program management teams to develop responses to Requests for Information (RFIs), market surveys, white papers, presentations, briefings, and major event demonstrations
  • Work as part of a team and be willing to assist other BDE team members with their efforts.
  • Represent the organization to the community and work with marketing to educate customers on Peraton and our capabilities
Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 12+ years of experience or Master’s and 10+ years, or Phd and 7+ years; HS with 16+ years of equivalent work experience in lieu of degree
  • A successful record of leading and winning opportunity pursuits with Army & MDA customers
  • Ability to build relationships with strategic teaming partners (prime and sub)
  • Ability to develop and mature key relationships within customer organizations
  • Proven ability to manage a pipeline of multiple opportunities at various stages within the pursuit lifecycle; to include large prime and small sub deals
  • Ability to operate independently but still retain an enterprise focus
  • Experience functioning as lead capture manager on smaller pursuits
  • Demonstrated understanding of customer needs in order to align Peraton’s capabilities and core values
  • Proven ability to structure key partnerships and alliances and to establish and grow new relationships (critical success factors)
  • Must demonstrate high energy, integrity, strong business acumen, professionalism, and commitment
  • Highly effective communicator to all levels within the company and with customers, to include senior executives and General/Flag Officers
  • Active SECRET clearance or at a minimum the ability to obtain one
SCA / Union / Intern Rate or Range

Details

Target Salary Range: $146,000 - $234,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
