Responsibilities
Peraton is hiring for an Acoustic Program Manager. The position is located in Herndon, VA.
Individual will be responsible for the following:
Provide Program Management for Peraton's portfolio of US Navy Acoustics programs. The successful candidate will interface directly with Government Program Managers, Engineers, and Leadership in NAVSEA, Navy Labs, and Office of Naval Intelligence programs. The manager will be responsible for delivering technical performance to the Navy in the areas of Acoustics, Sonar Systems, Signatures, Signature Measurement, Systems Development, and IA/IT support. The manager will also be responsible for delivering revenue and profit and delivering on-contract growth and new business wins within NAVSEA and ONI. As such, the manager will be the connection between Peraton's Navy customers and Peraton management.
The manager will lead personnel recruiting for the efforts and be responsible fo directing and mentoring Peraton task leads, engineers, and support personnel. The manager will track funding and spending, assign Peraton task leads and staff, track and review technical progress, and serve as final review and approval of document, software, and technical deliverables.
The manager will also work with Navy customers to develop technical approaches, roadmaps, and methodologies for solving our customers' difficult acoustics and measurement problems.
Qualifications
A Bachelor’s Degree (M.S. Preferred) in Engineering, Math, Physical Sciences, Computer Science or other STEM majors is required, along with 12 years of experience managing Navy technical programs. Preference will be given to candidates with program management experience in areas related to Anti-Submarine Warfare/Under-Sea Warfare (ASW/USW) submarine and surface ship signature measurement and reduction, and/or sonar development. System integration experience is required.
Experience should include:
- Planning, programming and budgeting (PPB) cycle of a multi-year project involving project data/documentation compilation, formatting, and analysis;
- Plan of Action & Milestones (POA&M) preparation and development of appropriation and multi-year funding profiles, including documentation, research and technical status reports and program briefing material
- Financial status monitoring of projects involving multiple funding categories.
- Earned Value Management tracking and reporting
- Long-range technology development project analysis and documentation at the Exploratory and advanced Development R&D levels
Active DOD Secret Clearance required.
Strongly desired : IAM II certification
Desired Experience:
- Acoustic recording systems development and certification
- Advanced development sonars
- Ship signature Research, Development, Test, and Evaluation (RDT&E) projects
- Signature measurement systems management
- Underwater acoustic programs
- Ship signature trial planning
Target Salary Range
$135,000 - $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
