Program Overview
Performs important mission in the DOD and that is deterrence of weapons of mass destruction, nuclear weapons, etc. Systems Engineers/Admins, DBA's, Release Engingeers, Data Scientists, Cyber Defense, and Service Desk collaborate together to ensure comprehensive mission success
About The Role

Peraton is looking for an Application Systems Architect to join us in supporting USSTRATCOM at Offutt AFB, Nebraska.

 

In this role, you’ll serve as a key member of the Engineering team providing subject matter expertise in support of the USSTRATCOM Command, Control, Communications, and Computer (C4) Systems Directorate (J6) and their mission systems customers. Key responsibilities include supporting USSTRATCOM customers and their enterprise which supports identifications, analyses, and advocation for resilient, threat-informed C4/cyber capabilities and resources to deliver warfighting capabilities rapidly in an ever-evolving digital environment.

 

What you will do: 

  • Build UNIX / Linux servers, ensure security requirements are met, test servers/systems/software/hardware, and integrate/install them into the production environment
  • Prepare and implement technical solutions to address customer requirements
  • Manage and/or perform implementation for approved technical solutions
  • Participate in all phases of the development life cycle with emphasis on the planning, analysis, testing and acceptance phases
  • Design and prepare technical reports and related documentation
  • Frequent interaction with Government customers and ITCC teammates
  • Operate and maintain UNIX/Linux production systems, including backup and recovery
  • Prepare briefings and prepare updates on project/task status
  • Exercises creativity in applying non-traditional approaches to large-scale analysis of data in support of high-value use cases visualized through multi-dimensional interfaces
  • Collaborate with multiple stakeholders to assess customer requirements for the Command, including assisting with dedicated projects benefiting the artificial intelligence and machine learning directorate
  • Research, generate, and recommend solutions that support customer requirements
Qualifications

What you will need: 

  • BS and 12 years, MS and 10 years, Phd and 7years or 16 years commensurate experience in a DoD environment in lieu of degree
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance
  • Experience with RedHat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 7.x / 8.x, VMware VSphere 6.x and higher, Red Hat Satellite 6.7 and higher
  • Working understanding of system engineering processes and tasks including requirements gathering, creating a technical solution, implementation, and test/verification
  • Experience with System integration (hardware, software, network, and database)
  • Experience with Multi-hardware system operation, performance, and system effectiveness
  • Experience with system security, Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG)
  • Strong technical writing skills

Desired:

  •  Experience with Databricks
  •  Experience with AWS
  •  Experience with data transport and transformation APIs and technologies such as JSON, XML, XSLT, JDBC, SOAP, and REST
  • Experience with Cloud-based data analysis tools including Hadoop and Mahout, Acumulo, Hive, Impala, Pig, and similar
SCA / Union / Intern Rate or Range

Details

Target Salary Range: $135,000 - $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
