Program Overview
About The Role

Peraton is seeking a Configuration/Release Management Associate to join our team of diverse individuals. The application being supported is an Oracle based client/server application. The candidate will be part of the CM/RM team with responsibility managing and tracking the versions of code between production, test and development environments.

What You'll Do:

Responsibilities:
Analyzes changes of product design to determine the effect on the end product design and function and determines and prepares documentation necessary for change. Designs and establishes management documentation. Authorizes the release of drawings, and software configuration changes specified by management and other functional groups. Develops and maintains software configuration management tools to support configuration identification, control, reporting, and delivery of both internally developed and externally purchased commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) software products. Performs configuration management and release engineering tasks to ensure new software product operating parameters are documented, comply with standard hardware configurations, and are logistically sustainable. Designs, develops, automates, and maintains productivity tools using programming, database or scripting languages to improve software modeling and development. Designs and implements build procedures that are used to support software product development and use. May develop software configuration standards for company-wide use. May train software developers in the use of configuration management tools and the implementation of software quality standards. May provide guidance to less experienced employees.
Experienced with frequent use and application of technical standards, principles and theories. Works under general supervision, providing solutions to technical problems of moderate scope/complexity.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • 5 years with BS/BA; 3 years with MS/MA; 0 years with PhD, 9 years in lieu of degree
  • Must be a U.S citizen
  • Able to obtain Public Trust clearance
  • Experience with deploying patches, upgrading environments, and creating release/change requests align with configuration management and release engineering tasks.
  • Experience with preparing forms, and reports for production releases
  • Must have a current/active Security+ Certification
  • Experience managing and tracking the versions of code between production, test and development environment
    Understanding of CM role, CM control, responsibilities

Desired:

  • Understanding and Comprehension of the SDLC practices.
  • Ability to work with both management, developers, and external staff to ensure there is timely flow from each level of the SDLC and that the required artifacts are completed and archived per policy and procedure.
  • Knowledge of batch file processing.

Details

Target Salary Range: $66,000 - $106,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
