Program Overview
Command support to all U.S. Army forces in South Korea. Key roles hired for the mission include cyber specialists, IT engineers, network engineers, and operations planners.
About The Role

Peraton is seeking a Cyber/C5I Planner for our South Korea site. We support the "Eighth Army" which is America's Pacific Guardians of Freedom". Our team supports C4I functions for the Eighth Army Headquarters and seven Major Subordinate Commands to include tactical communications for multiple theater-level exercises and training events. Eighth Army today stands ready to defend our national interests and those of our allies whenever called upon.

 

As our Cyber/C5I Planner you'll have the opportunity to:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive cyber plans that align with exercise objectives and C5I operational requirements.
  • Lead and facilitate planning sessions, targeted workgroups, and synchronization meetings with exercise stakeholders including staff directorates, MSCs, and supporting units to coordinate detailed and effective cyber exercise preparation.
  • Write monthly cybersecurity bulletins that raise awareness, highlight emerging threats, and recommend best practices across the organization.
  • Provide expert analysis on the command's program of record systems, detailing how operational impacts influence cyber operations, with specialized guidance on RMF compliance and the cyber lifecycle.
  • Demonstrate comprehensive command of the cyber incident response process and execute it decisively during exercises, ensuring timely tactical implementation and coordination with key stakeholders.
  • Actively participate in planning conferences and workgroups, gathering critical C5I requirements and conducting thorough analyses to guide decision-making and operational readiness.
  • Attend coordination meetings with staff directorates, MSCs, and supporting commands/units to ensure rapid response to signal support requirements and deliver expert guidance on achieving C5I mission-essential objectives.
Qualifications

REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or closely related field with minimum of 2 years of current cybersecurity related tasks. Bachelors degree can be waived with six (6) years experience performing IA/Cybersecurity tasks
  • Active Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) certification. (subject to verification)
  • Active DoD 8570.01-M/DoD 8140 IAM Level II certification (i.e. CISSP, Security X, CCISO, CISM, GSLC, CGRC, or HCISPP) (subject to verification)
  • Active Secret security clearance

 

DESIRED:

  • Minimum Background Investigation complete NALC\T3 with SSBI\T5 initiated.

Details

Target Salary Range: $66,000 - $106,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
