About The Role

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly organized and technically astute Executive Officer (EXO) to support a dynamic intelligence program in McLean, VA. The EXO will serve as the principal administrative and operational support officer, ensuring the smooth functioning of a high-performing team within a sensitive compartmented environment. The ideal candidate will have experience managing classified operations, coordinating across technical and analytical teams, and supporting senior leadership in a high-tempo environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the principal advisor to the Chief and Deputy Chief on administrative, financial, and operational matters.
  • Coordinate and manage day-to-day support functions including personnel actions, security compliance, travel coordination, budgeting, and resource planning.
  • Facilitate internal and external communications, including briefing materials, internal memos, and task management for the front office.
  • Manage the end-to-end process for official travel and training requests, including cost estimates, approvals, and reconciliation.
  • Liaise with counterparts in human resources, finance, security, logistics, and IT to ensure seamless support to the mission.
  • Maintain awareness of and compliance with all internal regulations, security policies, and legal constraints.
  • Develop and maintain organizational charts, staffing plans, and space allocations.
  • Track and report on office-level metrics, deliverables, and initiatives using Microsoft Excel, SharePoint, and custom agency tools.
  • Drive continuous improvement in administrative workflows, documentation practices, and data integrity.
Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph.
  • Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years of relevant experience; an additional 5 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Demonstrated experience in an administrative, operations, or program support role within the IC or DoD.
  • Strong understanding of Customer’s internal systems, tools, and policies (HR, finance, travel, etc.).
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities under tight deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities; detail-oriented.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and collaboration platforms (e.g., SharePoint).
  • Experience handling sensitive or classified information in accordance with security protocols.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience as an Executive Officer or Front Office support in an Intelligence Community (IC) environment.
  • Knowledge of proprietary systems and databases (e.g., CAST, SMART, NEMESIS, TRACS).
  • Familiarity with project management principles or tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Asana).
  • Experience coordinating with senior government leaders or serving in a liaison capacity.

Details

Target Salary Range: $104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
