About The Role

Overview:
We are seeking an expert-level Systems Architect to lead the design and development of innovative, scalable solutions for complex enterprise systems. This role focuses on aligning technology architecture with strategic business goals, covering areas such as APIs, data services, cloud infrastructure, and platform integration.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support the development and documentation of solution architectures, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture and strategic objectives.
  • Guide the analysis of user needs, business processes, and system limitations to enhance or automate workflows.
  • Evaluate and recommend architectural changes based on evolving requirements and emerging technologies.
  • Provide technical leadership across multidisciplinary teams and oversee the work of senior, mid, and junior systems architects.
  • Ensure architectural traceability to enterprise-level requirements and frameworks.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience designing enterprise-scale systems and leading technical teams.
  • Deep understanding of systems integration, cloud platforms, and architecture frameworks.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills for guiding both strategy and implementation

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Engineering Management, Management Information Systems, or a related STEM field — or equivalent professional experience in lieu of a degree.
  • 18+ years of experience in government or industry in one or more of the following areas:
    • Enterprise Architecture
    • Solution Architecture
    • Data Architecture
    • Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF)
    • Intelligence Community Program Architecture Guidance (IC PAG)
  • Prior experience supporting programs or projects within the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) and/or National System for Geospatial Intelligence (NSG)/Allied System for Geospatial Intelligence (ASG).
  • Working experience with NGA/NRO joint integration activities.
  • Working knowledge of NGA IPO infrastructure.
  • Demonstrated experience in Intelligence Community (IC) or Department of Defense (DoD) environments.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with the Cameo architecture tool, or similar tools
  • Experience with or in-depth understanding of MBSE.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance or the ability to obtain SCI access and pass a polygraph examination.

 

Desired Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in a relevant STEM discipline (Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, etc.).
  • Professional certification(s) in Enterprise Architecture, such as:
    • Federated Enterprise Architect Certification
    • Certified Enterprise Architect
    • National Defense University, College of Information and Cyberspace – Enterprise Architecture Certification

 

SCA / Union / Intern Rate or Range

Details

Target Salary Range: $135,000 - $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
