Program Overview
About The Role

Peraton Labs is seeking a Cybersecurity Researcher and Software Developer to work part time, on an as-needed basis. This employee will support various utility-related efforts related to Peraton Labs SecureSmart Critical Infrastructure Solutions products and services. 

 

What You'll Do:

  • Conduct on-demand research, software development, and architecture design for industrial control system cybersecurity monitoring solutions
  • Investigate and patch software problems in SecureSmart ProtocolPatroller software, upgrade it to support current OS versions and packages, and develop future enhancements
  • Consult and support the deployment of ProtocolPatroller and SecureSmart solutions in electric utility environments
  • Support the design of traffic monitoring architectures for substation sites with data diodes, packet brokers, software defined switches and flow controllers, packet capture devices, and integration with traffic analysis engines
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 12 years with BS/BA
  • Minimum of 10 years with MS/MA
  • Minimum of 7 years with PhD
  • Additional significant relevant experience will be considered in lieu of formal education
  • Fluency with substation protection systems and SCADA technology, such as RTUs, RTACs, SEL, and ABB relays
  • Experience with SCADA protocols (DNP3, 61850, ModBus, ICCP)
  • U.S. Citizenship
SCA / Union / Intern Rate or Range

Details

Target Salary Range: $135,000 - $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
