Program Overview
RDG (Risk Decision Group) provides nationwide background investigations compliant with national government standards to include support of continuous vetting for over 110 government agencies.
About The Role

Peraton is hiring an Information Technology Manager to support critical missions within its Risk Decision Group.

 

This is a 100% Remote position.

 

The ideal candidate will manage a team that provides technical assistance to computer system and network users. Will have oversight for a data center. Provides 24/7 technical support for computers and associated networks. Implements policies and procedures regarding how problems are identified, received, documented, distributed, and corrected. Ensures maximum issue resolution in minimum time to meet Service Level Agreements. Evaluates new information systems products or services and suggests changes to existing products or services to better aide the end user. Coordinates the preparation of bid specifications for required purchases (e.g., computers, software, (email, firewall, backup) and a variety of parts, supplies, etc.) for the purpose of maintaining availability of required items. Directs, establishes, plans, and implements the policies and procedures to support the organization's technical support services. Manages the deployment, maintenance, support and upgrade of servers, hardware, software, and operating systems. Monitors technology trends such as emerging standards for new technology opportunities.

 

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Lead day-to-day operations, support, and optimization of IT infrastructure across multiple environments.
  • Manage and maintain Windows-based servers, Active Directory, DNSm DHCP, and Group Policy.
  • Oversee fonfiguration, monitoring, and maintainenace of Palo Alto firewalls and network security policies.
  • Design and implement secure and scalable infrastructure solutions.
  • Oversee patching, backups, disaster recovery, and systems monitoring.
  • Collaborate with security and application teams to ensure compliance and performance.
  • Support infrastructure migration and integration into cloud environments.
  • Support incident response and root cause analysis for infrastructure-related issues.
  • Manage vendors, contracts, and service providers as needed.
  • Mentor junior staff and foster a high performing team.
Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • 10 years of experience, may have supervisory or lead experience
  • 5 years experience in Windows Server Adminstion
  • 2 years experience as technical lead of infrastructure teams
  • 5 years experience supporting virtualization platforms
  • Experience supporting cloud environments
  • US CItizenship
  • Active T5/SSBI federally adjudicated clearance
  • HS Diploma

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Expertise in supporting Palo Alto Networks Firwall
  • Strong knowledge of network protocoals, VPNs, routing, and switching
  • Experience with AWS and Azure cloud environments
  • Familiarty with hybrid cloud architectures 
  • Automation and scripting experience in Powershell

Details

Target Salary Range: $104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
