Program Overview
About The Role

Peraton has an exciting and important opportunity for an experienced Information Technology Modernization Consultant to help with modernization and delivery of high-quality IT solutions in support of a critical agency within the Federal Government. Working within the Office of Information Technology (OCIO), the right candidate has experience leading enterprise-level IT systems development and sustainment for the Federal government. You will be Key Personnel charged with bringing continuous improvement and innovation to the agency and its mission. 

This position will be located in the Washington, DC/MD/VA area.

 

Daily Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for leading enterprise-level IT systems development and sustainment initiatives to the agency.
  • Learning and understanding the agency’s current technologies and suggesting improvements aligned with relevant technology.
  • Identifying processes and systems that can be improved with technology.
  • Planning projects, implementing technology transformation, and monitoring outcomes.
  • Troubleshooting technology issues and making improvements.
  • Performing as a subject matter expert on newly implemented technologies.
  • Contributing to the success of the project by fostering collaborative and positive relationships between agency stakeholders and the OCIO.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • 8 years of experience with BS/BA; 6 years with MS/MA; 3 years with PhD
  • Degree(s) in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience as an Information Technology Project Manager.
  • Hands-on experience in software sustainment and IT modernization.
  • Minimum 1-year experience implementing AI/Gen AI engagement in a Federal Government environment.
  • Experience leading enterprise-level IT systems development and sustainment including inter-connected IT system transitions, modernizations, acquisitions, and transformations in a Federal Government environment.
  • Experience interfacing and being responsive to customers, preferable in a federal government environment.
  • Required Certifications:
    • CSP Foundational Certification from either AWS, Azure, or GCP AND
    • Artificial Intelligence Certification
  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance prior to starting contract related work.
  • U.S. Citizenship required

SCA / Union / Intern Rate or Range

Details

Target Salary Range: $135,000 - $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
