Program Overview
About The Role

We are looking to add an Information Technology Operations Advisor to our team of talented professionals.

 

 The Operations Advisor will provide technical expertise in the design and development of IT operation environments. Develops strategy of the client/server system and the design architecture to support strategy. Researches new technology and advises on purchases for the client regarding processing, data storage, data access, and applications development. Develops strategies for conducting studies to estimate the space, computer hardware, software and connection infrastructure resources required on a short and long-term basis. Develops models of the computer and computer application environment, identifies, and resolves computer operation systems performance issues. Measures system usage by workload type, identifying trends, and estimating further resource requirements.

 

• Supporting an environment that operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Available to answer and respond to calls during this time

• Track and record hardware and software outages from conception to resolution. Contact technical team members for resolution – may require immediate responses. Keeping team and customers aware of status.
• Compile maintenance schedules. Maintenance schedule will include step-by-step implementation plans that need to gain prime contractor and customer approvals / compliance.
• Ability to work and communicate with various technical and non-technical team and prime vendor members. Work includes planning mentioned.
• Chair daily staff meetings. Going over issues that occurred during the previous day, what the team will look to implement in the future. Strategic, tactical, operational, and contingency planning a plus.

• Act as primary escalation point for urgent operational issues.
• Implement continuous service improvement measures.
• Work with technical teams to provide day-to-day operations, modernization, and enhancements to the enterprise operations.
• Develop, cultivate, and manage customer relationships.
• Plan and recommend improvements, modernization, or additional equipment to increase the capacity of service delivery.
• Review systems reports to ensure optimal performance and maintain records of service level agreements for customers.
• Serve as a central point of contact, monitoring operational status, triage incidents, and coordinating response efforts.
• Manage, log, and track incidents and issues in alignment with escalation protocols.
• Ensure timely notification and communication of incidents to the appropriate personnel.
• Maintain situational awareness dashboards, action logs, issue trackers, and operational status summaries in real-time.
• Coordinate across technical teams to ensure rapid response, remediation, and closure of incidents impacting customer systems.
• Facilitate daily operational briefs.
• Contribute to post-deployment reviews, root cause analyses, and lessons learned documentation to support process improvement and future deployments.
• Ensure accurate documentation and archival of all cutover and incident management communications and reports.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications: 

 

  • Minimum of 8 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 6 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 3 years with PhD
  • Experience with monitoring hardware and software alerting using Tivoli.
  • Ability to develop strategies for conducting studies to estimate the space, computer hardware, software and connection infrastructure resources required on a short and long-term basis.
  • Ability to develop models of the computer and computer application environment, identifies, and resolves computer operation systems performance issues.
  • Active Secret Clearance
  • US Citizenship is required.

 

SCA / Union / Intern Rate or Range

Details

Target Salary Range: $104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
