Program Overview
Provide warfighters with reliable strike planning and execution tools for Theater Missile Programs while modernizing and expanding beyond Tomahawk missiles. Our work includes developing and maintaining proprietary software, offering full lifecycle support from design to deployment, and ensuring compliance with cybersecurity standards.
About The Role

Peraton is seeking a senior configuration management release engineer who will work on the Theater Mission Planning Center (TMPC) program, part of the Navy’s Tomahawk Missile program. We are looking for a release engineer with a background managing multiple concurrent product releases, overseeing rigorous branch management, establishing/maintaining CI/CD pipelines, and developing/enforcing configuration management (CM) processes and procedures. Your enthusiasm, desire to learn, creativity, team collaboration focus, and release engineering knowledge and skills will augment the current Configuration Management team and processes.

 

What you'll do as part of the team:

  • Manage multiple releases for the TMPC products and write release notes
  • Learn program processes and procedures
  • Contribute to the evolution of the team/project standards and conventions, implementing CM best practices and assessing industry standards and trends
  • Work with the DevOps team and technical project managers on release management
  • Understand hardware configurations and applications/capabilities for each configuration
  • Provide or validate estimates for assigned tasks
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies (e.g., Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-up)
Qualifications

What you'll need:

  • Education:  8 years with BS/BA; 6 years with MS/MA; 3 years with PhD
  • Experience managing multiple product releases
  • Experience implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience defining and enforcing branch management strategies
  • Experience developing release notes
  • Excellent understanding of, and experience with, CM best practices
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong communication and writing skills
  • Ability to work within a collaborative team environment
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
  • Clearance:  An active SECRET clearance or the ability to obtain one

Details

Target Salary Range: $104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
