Program Overview
About The Role

Peraton is seeking a Mainframe Developer to support a Department of Defense Customer's Defense Business System. The main function of a software developer, working in an Agile Software Development Lifecycle is the development, maintenance, and migration of the customer's system.

 

The candidate shall evaluate information systems requirements using Government approved engineering principles for examining the hardware, software, firmware, and human interfaces for DoD and DFAS life cycle management. Support will be focused on the following tasks: program and unit test system modifications, participate in all levels of system testing, attend analysis and design meetings, document system processes, and train team on processes and programming techniques.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications: 

  • 5 years with BS/BA; 3 years with MS/MA; 0 years with PhD
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Able to obtain Public Trust
  • Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic ability to work independently and manage one’s time.

Details

Target Salary Range: $80,000 - $128,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
