We are seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Systems Analyst / Engineer to provide expert guidance, technical leadership, and hands-on support across complex engineering and IT projects. In this role, you’ll bring specialized knowledge in systems engineering, cybersecurity, software analysis, and quality assurance to help design, build, and protect critical mission systems.
You’ll act as a key advisor and problem-solver, helping clients and technical teams align business needs with secure, scalable technology solutions — ensuring quality is embedded throughout development, implementation, and maintenance.
Analyze user needs and software requirements to determine technical approach and design feasibility within time and cost constraints
Evaluate and recommend computer system specifications, layouts, and peripheral equipment modifications
Review existing programs to optimize performance and reduce operating time
Collaborate with systems analysts, engineers, and programmers to define limitations, capabilities, and performance requirements
Evaluate security and reporting needs, cost factors, and hardware configurations to support system planning
Estimate software development costs and timelines
Consult with customers and engineering staff to design software systems and interfaces between hardware and software
Resolve system or performance issues in coordination with data processing and project managers
Prepare detailed project documentation, reports, and correspondence
Implement and upgrade cybersecurity solutions, including software, hardware, and network security in both virtual and physical environments
Maintain, repair, and enhance existing security systems as needed
Perform system scans and simulations to identify vulnerabilities and recommend remediation
Document findings from security tests, breaches, or incidents and report recommendations to management
Develop, implement, and maintain security policies and best practices to prevent future threats and ensure compliance

Education & Clearance
Bachelor’s degree or higher in one of the following fields:
Computer Science, Engineering, Remote Sensing, Photogrammetry, Image Science, Data Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Geography, or a related degree program
In lieu of a degree:
4 additional years of relevant experience (no degree)
2 additional years of relevant experience (with a non-STEM degree)
TS/SCI clearance adjudication, or the ability to obtain SCI and pass a polygraph
Experience & Expertise
12+ years of demonstrated experience providing guidance, consultation, facilitation, and thought leadership in one or more of the following areas:
Engineering and Technology, Policy and Administration, Program Management, Planning, Analysis, Training and Development, Facilities, Communications, Visual Design, Human Capital, Business Operations
Proven experience providing technical direction and strategic input in high-technology environments
Cybersecurity & Technical Skills
Strong understanding of:
Network protocols (TCP/IP, IPSec)
Firewalls, encryption, and intrusion detection systems
Ability to:
Identify, analyze, and resolve complex security problems
Troubleshoot security vulnerabilities and implement effective solutions
Communication & Interpersonal Skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
Domain Knowledge
Prior experience supporting NGA and/or NSG/ASG programs
Previous work on IC (Intelligence Community) or DoD (Department of Defense) programs or projects
Advanced Education
Master’s degree or higher in one of the following fields:
Remote Sensing, Photogrammetry, Image Science, Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Geography, or a related discipline
Certifications (Preferred)
Security+
CISSP
Cloud Certification (e.g., AWS, Azure)
Server Certification (e.g., Windows, Linux)
Specialized Knowledge
Experience with Remote Sensing, Photogrammetry, or Image Science
Working knowledge of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools, processes, and languages
Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies
Tools & Systems Experience
Project Management software: MS Project, Primavera
Financial tracking tools
Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems
Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) platforms
