Program Overview
Engineering modernization and integration practices to include Digital Engineering and Agile at Scale for all of NGA, NSG, and ASG.
About The Role

Are you a strategic problem solver with deep cross-functional expertise and a passion for supporting national security missions? We’re seeking a Senior-Level Functional Specialist Advisor (FSA) to join our dynamic team of innovators and mission-focused professionals. In this role, you’ll provide high-level consultation, guidance, and leadership to help shape and support the deployment of transformative solutions for the U.S. Government.

This is more than a job—it’s a chance to lead modernization efforts, bridge technology with real-world mission impact, and advise stakeholders on how to best deliver forward-thinking capabilities.

What You’ll Be Doing:

As a Senior FSA, you’ll serve as the connective tissue between technical solutions and mission success. You’ll apply expert knowledge in areas such as engineering, systems analysis, visual design, business, training, and communications to:

  • Provide technical consultation, facilitation, and strategic leadership on complex programs.

  • Work alongside government users to introduce new applications, gather feedback, and ensure seamless integration into the target architecture.

  • Analyze user needs and software/system requirements to define feasible, cost-effective solutions.

  • Support and lead QA, testing, and lifecycle management activities to ensure products meet mission-critical standards.

  • Deliver training and user support on advanced exploitation and analysis tools—including iSpy and related technologies.

  • Partner with systems analysts, engineers, and data managers to ensure cross-discipline collaboration and success.

  • Create and maintain documentation, status reports, and stakeholder communications throughout the lifecycle of each initiative.

Qualifications

Peraton offers enhanced benefits to employees working on this critical National Security program, which include heavily subsidized employee benefits coverage for you and your dependents, 25 days of PTO accrued annually up to a generous PTO cap and eligible to participate in an attractive bonus plan.

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or related STEM degree program.
  • Twelve years of related experience is required. If this experience is as a Functional Specialist/Advisor, it may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Demonstrated experience providing guidance and direction in high technology programs.
  • Experience in a distinct functional or cross-functional business area. Experience may be broad-based crossing multiple markets (i.e., government, industry) and may also include relevant/associated certifications and knowledge of applicable tools, methodologies, or best practices.
  • Experience with imagery exploitation tools and services (including iSpy).
  • TS/SCI clearance adjudication or ability to obtain SCI and pass a poly.

Desired:

  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or related STEM degree program.
  • Senior-level experience in all phases of the PED lifecycle.
  • Experience with Remote Sensing, Photogrammetry, or Image Science.
  • Senior-level experience with imagery exploitation tools and services (including iSpy).
  • Working knowledge of Model-Based Systems Engineering, processes, tools and languages.
  • Previous NGA and/or NSG/ASG program/project work experience.
