Program Overview
About The Role

Peraton is seeking an experienced Senior Program Management, Adviser to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals and will become part of Peraton’s First Responders Solutions.This person will oversee customer-specific programs to ensure they align with customer needs and organizational goals. Partnering with the Project Manager for successful project execution, the Program Manager focuses on progress monitoring, risk mitigation, and resource coordination. Responsibilities include facilitating communication with the Account Manager for customer updates, tracking milestones, and ensuring program goals are met.

 

Day To Day Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Manage customer-specific programs to ensure they meet both client expectations and internal organizational goals.

  • Collaborate closely with the Project Manager (PjM) to ensure successful planning and execution of all projects within the program.

  • Work alongside the Account Manager, who serves as the primary customer liaison, to deliver timely and accurate updates on progress, issues, and risks.

  • Align program deliverables with the overarching product strategy by partnering with the Product Owner.

  • Monitor project performance across the program, ensuring that timelines, budgets, and quality standards are consistently met.

  • Support the Project Manager in identifying and resolving risks, dependencies, and other delivery challenges.

  • Coordinate and allocate resources effectively to ensure the program's staffing and support needs are met.

  • Deliver consistent status updates to both internal stakeholders and customers, covering progress, potential risks, and next steps.

  • Track key program metrics, including milestones and deliverables, to ensure all goals and success criteria are achieved.

  • Develop and maintain structured communication plans for regular customer engagement and status updates.

  • Create and maintain a comprehensive program roadmap that includes all customer-specific deliverables and deadlines.

  • Provide detailed program status reports that highlight performance metrics, milestones, risks, and significant accomplishments.

  • Identify and document program-level risks, along with mitigation strategies to address them proactively.

  • Prepare alignment reports to ensure customer needs are in sync with the larger product and business strategies.

  • Coordinate strategic resource plans that support both program-level and project-level execution needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree and 8 years of experience or a Master degree and 6 years of experience or a High School Diploma and 12 years of experience. 
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Program or project management experience, with at least 5 years supporting government or public sector clients.
  • Proven experience managing complex, multi-disciplinary programs with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong understanding of program lifecycle management, risk mitigation, and resource planning.
  • Demonstrated success in building relationships with clients and internal stakeholders to drive program outcomes.
  • Experience in coordinating with technical teams, product owners, and customer-facing account managers.
  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and drive results under tight deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools such as MS Project, Jira, or similar platforms.

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • PMP Certification
  • ITIL Foundations Certification
  • Scrum Master Certification 
SCA / Union / Intern Rate or Range

Details

Target Salary Range: $104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
