Program Overview
Peraton provides USSOCOM, its Component Commands, Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs), deployed forces, CIO/J6, and end-users with high-quality IT platform and network services over an eight-year period.
About The Role

Peraton requires Configuration Managers to support the Special Operation Command Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) – 3 EOM.  This position is located at MacDill AFB in Florida.

 

The purpose of the Special Operations Forces Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) 3 Enterprise Operations and Maintenance (EOM) Task Order (TO) is to provide USSOCOM, its Component Commands, its Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs), and its deployed forces with Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services to maintain Network Operations (NetOps); maintain systems and network infrastructure; provide end user and common device support; provide configuration, change, license, and asset management; conduct training, and perform Install, Move, Add, Change (IMACs) services. The responsibilities and tasks associated with each requirement play a pivotal role to USSOCOM, the CIO/J6 organization, and ultimately the end-user who operate around the globe 24x7x365. 

 

Configuration Management includes Software Baseline Management and Release Management (RM) and ensures that performance of IT-enabled services and capabilities is consistent with service design. 

  • Maintain the accuracy of Configuration Items (CIs) in the Configuration Management Database (CMDB).
  • Plan, manage, and maintain asset database population and data integrity.
  • Perform regular audits, validation, and reconciliation of IT assets.
  • Maintain a logical service model of enterprise devices, their relationships, and installed hardware, software, and documentation through identification, control, maintenance, and verification.
  • Verify and maintain standards through auditing and remediation.
  • Track IT assets throughout their lifecycle (procurement deployment reallocation/disposal).
  • Develop and maintain processes for managing and tracking license and maintenance lifecycles.
  • Define and update policies and procedures for effective asset lifecycle management.
  • Work closely with the Government to ensure compliance with policy and seamless asset transitions.
  • Identify opportunities to fully utilize unused or partially used hardware assets.
  • Define metrics, collect data, and generate reports on IT asset management effectiveness.
Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Min 9 years with HS degree, 7 years with AS/AA degree, 5 years with BS/BA, 3 years with MS/MA
  • DoD TS/SCI clearance
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with DoD Asset Management systems and processes.
  • Experience with IT asset tracking tools, CMDBs, or ITSM platforms (e.g., ServiceNow, BMC Remedy/Helix, Jira).

Desired Qualifications:

  • ITIL Foundations v4 certification
  • DoD 8570 IAT II Certification  
  • Prior experience supporting large-scale DoD or enterprise IT programs.
  • Familiarity with government property accountability systems and disposal regulations.
  • Experience developing governance, policies, and processes for IT Asset Management.

Details

Target Salary Range: $66,000 - $106,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
