Program Overview
Peraton provides USSOCOM, its Component Commands, Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs), deployed forces, CIO/J6, and end-users with high-quality IT platform and network services over an eight-year period.
About The Role

Peraton requires a Hardware Asset Manager to support the Special Operation Command Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) - 3. This position is located at the SOCOM Headquarters at MacDill, AFB FL.   

The purpose of the Special Operations Forces Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) 3 Enterprise Operations and Maintenance (EOM) Task Order (TO) is to provide USSOCOM, its Component Commands, its Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs), and its deployed forces with Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services to maintain Network Operations (NetOps); maintain systems and network infrastructure; provide end user and common device support; provide configuration, change, license, and asset management; conduct training, and perform Install, Move, Add, Change (IMACs) services. The responsibilities and tasks associated with each requirement play a pivotal role to USSOCOM, the CIO/J6 organization, and ultimately the end-user who operate around the globe 24x7x365. 

The Hardware Asset Manager plays a pivotal role within our IT Infrastructure, overseeing the end-to-end hardware lifecycle and ensuring CMDB accuracy, cost control, and compliance (chain-of-custody, NIST 800-88) while partnering with Endpoint, Security, Procurement, and Finance to improve service.

Duties include but are not limited to: 

  • Managing the overall IT Asset Inventory between the Viper and Exec Communications teams.
  • Define and enforce hardware asset management (HAM) policies, standards, and SOPs across the organization.
  • Sets and defines a comprehensive Asset Management Strategy with the customer, including setting goals and objectives, KPI / Metrics.
  • Recommends and supports the development and maintenance of, and updates approved policies and procedures for effective asset lifecycle management (acquisition, deployment, utilization, de-installation, reallocation, and disposal) of IT assets.
  • Sets and implements IT cross team integrations with IT Service Management processes, such as Configuration Management, Incident, Change, Problem Management, etc.
  • Drives ROI and efficiency strategy through effective analytics and reporting, acquisition strategy and licensing, and process discipline.
  • Responsible for compliance to Security Policies and standards for IT Assets.
  • Oversees the shipping and disposable processes and execution.
  • Responsible for overall physical and virtual audits, including RCA for noncompliance, action plans to address gaps, and identification and implementation of continuous improvement actions for technology, process and people (training).
  • Owns end-to-end lifecycle of all enterprise hardware assets (endpoints, peripherals, network/compute, AV, specialty devices) from request to retirement.
  • Responsible for ensuring IT Asset Management deliverables per contract are delivered on time and accurate.
Qualifications

Required qualifications:  

  • Min 12 years with HS Diploma, 10 years with AS/AA degree, 8 years with BS/BA, 6 years with MS/MA, or 3 years with PHD 
  • Knowledgeable in CMDB/asset repositories, inventory controls, lifecycle planning, and logistics operations.
  • Proven vendor management, negotiation, and budgeting experience.
  • TS/SCI clearance is required 

 

Desired qualifications:  

  • ITIL V4 Foundation (Highly Desired)
  • Hands-on with HAM/endpoint tools (ServiceNow HAM, MECM/SCCM, Intune, Jamf, Tanium, Lansweeper) and barcode/RFID solutions.

Details

Target Salary Range: $104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
