Program Overview
Peraton provides USSOCOM, its Component Commands, Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs), deployed forces, CIO/J6, and end-users with high-quality IT platform and network services over an eight-year period.
About The Role

Peraton requires Network Engineers to support the Special Operation Command Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) – 3 EOMThis position is located onsite in Little Creek, VA 

  

The purpose of the Special Operations Forces Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) 3 Enterprise Operations and Maintenance (EOM) Task Order (TO) is to provide USSOCOM, its Component Commands, its Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs), and its deployed forces with Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services to maintain Network Operations (NetOps); maintain systems and network infrastructure; provide end user and common device support; provide configuration, change, license, and asset management; conduct training, and perform Install, Move, Add, Change (IMACs) services. The responsibilities and tasks associated with each requirement play a pivotal role to USSOCOM, the CIO/J6 organization, and ultimately the end-user who operate around the globe 24x7x365. 

 

The Network Engineer must be detail-oriented and have in-depth knowledge of networking hardware and software. The Engineer must keep their technical skills updated and studies vendor products to determine those which best meet the Government’s needs. This position provides guidance and direction for junior network support technicians. 

  

Duties include but are not limited to: 

 

  • Providing comprehensive systems and network engineering and architectural planning services. 
  • Interfacing with O&M personnel by providing strategic design and support to projects as directed. 
  • Comprehensively reviewing existing architectures on a regular basis, recommending and assisting with the design and implementation of systems and network improvements as required. 
  • Establishing systems engineering with a focus on the end-to-end functionality of complex systems. 
  • Establishing service integration, database structure management, active directory services/DNS, and Thin/zero clients. 
  • Providing data storage with expertise in SANs technologies, NAS technologies, iSCSI, and DAS. 
  • Establishing portal/web services with expertise in the design of medium to large enterprise farms, geographical replication, interfacing with external data sources and integration of third- party add-ons. 
  • Monitoring PKI/certificate authority. 
  • Providing CRM. 
  • Performing disaster recovery and backup/restore. 
  • Supporting efforts for cybersecurity technology, risks identification and risk mitigation strategies related to cybersecurity, and A&A support documentation in accordance with applicable DoD and IC directives. 
  • Maintaining LAN, WAN and VoIP infrastructures, voice and data network systems, advanced engineering, and administration of multiprotocol routers, multilayer switches, network security devices and network management systems. 
  • Establishing SATCOM with an emphasis on IP satellite 
  • Providing support with Wireless networking, Application delivery networking, Cloud computing, Mobile computing, End Point management, and desktop computing 
  • Providing Commercial Solutions for Classified (CSfC) or other NSA Capabilities Package. 
  • Engineering enterprise data, voice, and video networks. 
  • Establishing and operating network test facilities. 
  • Maintaining a secure transfer of data to multiple locations via internal and external networks. 
  • Working with vendors, the Government, carriers, and technical staff on network implementation, optimization, and ongoing management. 
  • Providing high-level support and technical expertise in networking technology, including LAN/WAN hardware, switches, bridges, and routers. 
  • Some positions may require shift work and/or an ability to work a non-standard work schedule to support the USSOCOM mission. 
Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • DoD security clearance at the TS/SCI level is required. 
  • HS + 12 years of experience OR AS with 10 years of experience OR BS + 8 years of experience OR MS + 6 years of experience OR PHD with 3 years of experience. 
  • DoD IAT Level II certification. 
  • CCNP Collaboration OR CCNP Enterprise OR CCNP Security OR CCNP Service Provider OR CCDP OR CCIoT OR Aruba Certified Mobility Professional OR Juniper Networks Certified Specialist certifications.

Details

Target Salary Range: $86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
