Program Overview
Peraton provides USSOCOM, its Component Commands, Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs), deployed forces, CIO/J6, and end-users with high-quality IT platform and network services over an eight-year period.
About The Role

Responsibilities:

 

Peraton requires a Release Manager to support the Special Operation Command Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) – 3 Enterprise Operations and Maintenance (EOM) Task Order. This position is located at Fort Bragg, NC.

 

Release Manager

  • Develops, implements, updates, and monitors RM processes for integrating approved changes.
  • Develops and uses a holistic approach in creating RM processes and methodologies.
  • Ensures that technical and non-technical aspects of a release are taken into consideration in designing, engineering, and integrating all releases.
  • Plans and performs the release of approved software, hardware, policy, and procedural changes.
  • Performs RM activities related to preparing new or reconfigured software and hardware for release.
  • Adheres to RM policies, procedures, processes, and regulations for implementing approved changes to the enterprise, including software and hardware.
  • Socializes technology changes impacting end users, focusing on benefits and expectations through the use of various technologies.
  • Collaborates with other support teams which are directly affected or impacted by RM activities including: Change Management, CM, Problem Management, CSD, production operations, and other pertinent IT support groups relating to release training for system administrators, release content, schedule, and approval.
  • Develops and updates release implementation plans to cover Operational Test and Evaluation (OT&E) training operations teams and the CSD. Test the transition of the release implementation plans to the production environment.
  • Ensures that each release and release packages can be tracked, installed, verified, and uninstalled or backed out if required.
  • Creates an approach for maintaining controlled OT&E environments.
  • Schedules the build and test activities for hardware and software.
  • Assigns contractor resources, roles, and responsibilities to perform key activities.
  • Tracks and documents bug resolution efforts and trends, while highlighting positive and negative trends for future release practices.
  • Must understand Agile Methodologies
  • Must be familiar with the Risk Management Framework
Qualifications
  • Education & Experience Equivalency:  BS + 8 years of experience OR MS + 6 years of experience OR PHD with 3 years of experience OR HS with 12 years of experience OR AA with 10 years of experience
  • Security Clearance: Active DoD Top Secret w/ SCI (TS/SCI) or higher required.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years experience in IT Operations support.
  • Must have experience with Software Development Life Cycle.
  • Ability to follow procedures under stressful conditions.
  • Written and Oral Communications Skills.

 

SCA / Union / Intern Rate or Range

Details

Target Salary Range: $80,000 - $128,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
