Program Overview
About The Role

Peraton is seeking a driven project manager to oversee and manage the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serve as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management. Reviews status of projects and budgets, manages schedules, and prepares status reports. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, customers, and other stakeholders

 

Responsibilities:

 

The Project Manager will be responsible for the following but not limited to: 

  • Supporting the planning, development, and day-to-day activities for the full range of National Security Space (NSS) programs.
  • Assist in monitoring and tracking status of the NSS Ground Operations & Maintenance (O&M) contracts as tasked by management.  
  • Assist in creating long- and short-term plans, including setting targets for milestones and adhering to deadlines.
  • Provide input/analysis to allow the NSS Ground O&M managers to make effective decisions when presented with multiple options/courses of action (COA)
  • Support NSS Ground O&M programs to ensure compliance with PWS/Task Order requirements associated with deliverables, and performance standards.
  • Adjusting schedules and targets on the project as needs or financing for the project change
  • Support, as needed, provide Ground Station/Antenna O&M support for worldwide locations.
  • Support, as needed, coordinating Australian safety training for the O&M team and liaison with government points of contact.
  • Support Peraton growth opportunities to include but not limited to Requests for Information (RFI), Requests for Proposal (RFP), and Subject Matter Expert (SME) data calls and/or inputs.
  • Support the NSS Ground O&M portfolio to ensure a collaborative relationship is maintained with government customers.
  • Support geographically separated teams with project related tasks as identified by management.

 

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • High School and a minimum of 6 years of experience
  • Active/current Secret Security Clearance
  • Six or more years’ hands on experience with antenna O&M.
  • Current DoD 8140 Security+ Certification
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule or shift work.
  • Possess a valid passport

 Desired Qualifications

  • Be able to attain a TS/SCI w/Poly
  • Sufficient knowledge of SATCOM system equipment maintenance procedures, policies, and requirements for 
  • Experience working with S-Band, C-Band, and KU-Band SATCOM terminal operations and maintenance.

Details

Target Salary Range: $104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
