Program Overview
About The Role
Roles/Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 
  • Design, coordinate and administer practical training exercises to impart, develop and mature student knowledge, skill and operational judgement 
  • Plan and coordinate course schedules and learning activities with management, external offices, training providers and other stakeholders 
  • Design course syllabi, develop lesson plans, administer courseware and provide training to new systems engineers 
  • Leverage existing SME historical knowledge, documentation and course content to develop curriculum for new certification course
  • Establish and maintain a logical and accessible Knowledge Management platform to benefit entire program and course candidates
Qualifications
 

Minimum of 8 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 6 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 3 years with Ph.D.

Mandatory/Required Experience, Qualifications include: 
  • Five+ (5) years of systems engineering experience in support of customer environment requirements 
  • Working knowledge of modern telecommunications mediums 
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to establish professional rapport with others in a small team environment 
  • Ability to operate under broad intent independent of direct oversight 
  • Adapts well to change and thrives in an atmosphere that requires initiative, creativity, and teamwork 
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal 
  • Ability to communicate complex concepts and subject matter to novice audiences 
  • Proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office suite to include Word, Excel, and PowerPoint with the aptitude to employ other automated programs, databases, and technology-based capabilities
  • Ability to travel CONUS approximately 2 times per year
 
Desired Experiences: 
  • Familiarity with the customer's program charter, processes and stakeholders 
  • Prior experience working as a Systems Engineer in government or commercial industry 
  • Versed in Operational Risk Management principles 
  • Prior instructor experience such as lesson planning, lecture, hands-on demonstration and remediation 
  • Prior experience in formal instructional design, Instructional Systems Design experience a plus
  • Proficient in the use and maintenance of SharePoint and Confluence sites (using built-in tools)

Details

Target Salary Range: $135,000 - $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
