Program Overview
About The Role

Peraton is hiring a T&D Systems Engineer to join our Cyber Mission business unit in Jessup, MD. As a Systems Engineer on our team, you will support one of the largest enterprise-wide engineering contracts within the Intelligence Community. This is a full-time position requiring 1880 hours of support per year; and work is performed at a customer location.

 

As a Technology Insertion Systems Engineer, you will provide senior systems engineering support to an office responsible for the management and oversight of technology insertion and transition into and out of the enterprise architecture. 

 

The Technology Transition Office is responsible for managing the introduction of new prototype capabilities. It supports both the customer organization and external IC partners, ensuring stakeholder requirements are understood and addressed.

  • Manage and support technology transition office processes

  • Monitor and measure progress throughout the transition process

  • Identify risks and recommend mitigation strategies

  • Support planning activities related to technology adoption and integration

As part of this role, you will:

  • Provide systems engineering expertise to research systems, services, and capabilities to be transitioned

  • Document known details to enable informed decision-making by stakeholders and capability owners

  • Plan, monitor, and generate systems engineering artifacts to support technology transitions into and out of the capabilities architecture

  • Collaborate with the government to:

    • Facilitate, lead, and document decision meetings

    • Engage stakeholders in accomplishing transition objectives

Qualifications

Individual Capabilities/Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or other related discipline plus at least 20 years of systems engineering experience. A master’s degree or PhD may be substituted for two years of experience. A high school diploma or GED plus 24 years of systems engineering experience would also be acceptable.
  • Position requires TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
  • Experience with documentation of systems, and systems of systems in accordance with systems engineering standards and practices.
  • Ability to plan and deliver engineering projects with unique/ complex aspects that impact major capabilities of high priority to the enterprise.

Individual Capabilities/Experience Desired:

  • Ability to embrace cross-directorate collaboration, and work with/advise others who have little or no Systems Engineering Experience.

Details

Target Salary Range: $176,000 - $282,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
