Program Overview
Performs important mission in the DOD and that is deterrence of weapons of mass destruction, nuclear weapons, etc. Systems Engineers/Admins, DBA's, Release Engingeers, Data Scientists, Cyber Defense, and Service Desk collaborate together to ensure comprehensive mission success
About The Role

Peraton is searching for a Telephone Technician to work at Offutt AFB.

 

What you will do: 

 

Telephone Technician is assigned to and directly supports the J632 Unified Communications Branch by performing the following duties:

  • Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues related to Cisco VoIP phones and other Unified Communications endpoints
  • Perform physical replacement and configuration of Cisco VoIP phones
  • Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues between UC systems and other applications
  • Administer and maintain the server infrastructure supporting the UC environment, including CUCM, Unity Connection, Cisco Finesse and other related servers/systems
  • Perform system upgrades, patches, and security updates to ensure system stability and security.
  • Monitor system performance and proactively identify potential issues
  • Manage and administer Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM), including device configuration, user provisioning, call routing, and dial plan management
  • Configure and maintain call queues, hunt groups, and auto-attendant systems
  • Manages the Cisco Unified Border Element and Gateways connecting the VOIP infrastructure
  • Utilize ServiceNow (or other designated ITSM platform) to track, manage, and resolve incidents, service requests, and change requests related to UC telephony

Security Compliance:

  • Implement and maintain UC systems in accordance with applicable Department of Defense (DoD) Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs)
  • Configure and harden UC systems to meet DoD security requirements, including but not limited to access controls, auditing, and encryption
  • Document STIG compliance activities and maintain evidence of security controls
  • Report on STIG compliance status as required
Qualifications

What you will need: 

  • BS with 5 Years, or HS Diploma and 9 years of relevant work experience
  • Must hold, at minimum active/current DoD Secret with the ability to obtain Top Secret with SCI
  • VoIP Troubleshooting, maintenance, and administration experience
  • CompTIA Security+ or DoD 8570 IAT Level II equivalent certification
  • Desired Certification - CCNP Collaboration

 

SCA / Union / Intern Rate or Range

Details

Target Salary Range: $66,000 - $106,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
