About The Role
Peraton seeks a Cybersecurity Engineer to support Department of Defense Cyber Defense Command (DCDC) with DCO AI Cyber Security Support.
Location: Fort Meade, MD.
In this role, you will perform technical cybersecurity engineering including hardening validation, security architecture implementation, and advanced threat analysis.
Primary Responsibilities:
Perform technical hardening validation
Implement security controls and configurations
Conduct security architecture reviews
Support Zero Trust implementation
Analyze advanced threats and vulnerabilities
Develop security automation solutions
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 8 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 6 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 3 years with PhD
Current IA Cybersecurity certification, such as CISSP, CEH, or equivalent
Deep technical security engineering skills
Experience with security hardening and STIGs
Knowledge of network and application security
Scripting skills (Python, PowerShell)
Experience with cloud security
- U.S Citizenship required
- DoD TS with ability to obtain/maintain SCI clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field
- 8 years of specific experience
