About The Role
Peraton requires a VTC Technician to support the Special Operations Command Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) – 3.
This position is located at Hurlburt Field, FL.
The purpose of the Special Operations Forces Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) 3 Enterprise Operations and Maintenance (EOM) Task Order (TO) is to provide USSOCOM, its Component Commands, its Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs), Operations (NetOps); maintain systems and network infrastructure; provide end user and common device support; provide configuration, change, license, and asset management; conduct training, and perform Install, Move, Add, Change (IMACs) services. The responsibilities and tasks associated with each requirement play a pivotal role to USSOCOM, the CIO/J6 organization, and ultimately the end-user who operate around the globe 24x7x365.
The VTC Technician plays a pivotal role within our IT support team, providing VTC support in line with the SIE OPORD.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Installs, configures, manages, maintains, operates, and defends common area VTC equipment, including day-to-day setup, scheduling, and monitoring.
- Schedules, coordinates, and administers multiple simultaneous VTC sessions.
- Provides dedicated support to VTCs attended by VIPs.
- Recommend upgrades to VTC systems.
- Provides version control and provisioning via a Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM) for VTC CODECs.
- Installs flat panel displays, room based VTC endpoints, projectors, and A/V equipment.
- Troubleshoots and resolves issues down to the equipment level (black box).
- Manages, maintains, and posts a daily MSL and shift change procedures.
- Schedules, configures, and connects users to DISA GVS and DVS conferences.
- Trains designated personnel on the operation of VTC equipment.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Min 6 years with HS Diploma, 4 years with AS/AA degree, or 2 years with BS/BA.
- Active DoD TS/SCI clearance.
- DoDD 8570.01-M IAT II.
- A minimum of 1 year related experience as a VTC Technician.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate well both orally and in writing.
