Program Overview
About The Role
Peraton is seeking a Software Engineer to join our Cyber Mission business unit in Annapolis Junction, MD.
Our team develops and supports a suite of products designed to automate manual workflows, allowing mission partners to focus on complex, high-value challenges. We follow Agile methodologies and embrace DevOps practices to ensure the delivery of high-quality, reliable software solutions.
This role is based at a contractor facility that offers flexible work schedules. Telework options may also be available, depending on tasking and with customer approval.
Key Qualifications:
Proven experience in Full Stack Development (Front-End and Back-End) using Java and JavaScript
Strong foundation in Java, including Spring and JUnit
Proficiency in modern JavaScript frameworks such as React or Vue.js
Working knowledge of JSON for data interchange
Experience with Elasticsearch and the ELK Stack
Familiarity with Redis for in-memory data structures
Understanding of MongoDB and document-oriented databases
Hands-on experience with Docker containerization
Experience with container orchestration tools like Docker Swarm or Kubernetes
Proficiency with Git and GitLab for source control
Experience with CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD or Jenkins
Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI security clearance with a current polygraph is required.
- Seven (7) years experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence)
