Program Overview
About The Role

Position provides mission operations engineering support to a government Program Office (PO) in mission management of an operational system. This position encompasses all aspects of end-to-end operations engineering to include mission operations planning, maintaining mission capability, coordination with enterprise partners, and daily interaction with development contractors. Key areas of responsibilities include:

  • Mission operations oversight to ensure the system is fulfilling its performance objectives
  • Execution of the Operations and Maintenance Plan
  • Anomaly management and response
  • Operational reporting to government leadership
  • User engagement on system capability
  • Software deployment review
  • Enterprise Coordination
  • Discrepancy Report adjudication
  • Mission engineering prioritization

This position is part of the operations function in a Government PO and will involve participation in all stages of the system life cycle. Your responsibilities will extend across multiple operational systems in a compressed timeline resulting in concurrent activities.

Qualifications

Minimum of 12 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 10 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 7 years with Ph.D.

Possess an active and current TS/SCI /w Poly security clearance.

Experience with TCPED processes and execution

Experience with Systems Engineering and all related functional disciplines. 

Knowledge of assessing mission technical capabilities and system performance.

Experience in mission operations activities for an aerospace system

Details

Target Salary Range: $146,000 - $234,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
