Program Overview
About The Role

Peraton is seeking an experienced Angular Developer to join our team of qualified and diverse individuals. This role will support the Health Care System rewrite by developing software enhancements for the Ohio Public Employees Retirement System (OPERS) Compass application and its related subsystems. 

 

This position is remote.

 

Day to Day Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research into the design, development, testing, and utilization of electronic data processing software.

  • Design, develop, document, test, and debug application software and systems containing logical and mathematical solutions.

  • Collaborate through multidisciplinary research with equipment designers and hardware engineers to plan and develop electronic data processing systems.

  • Determine computer user needs and analyze system capabilities to resolve problems regarding program intent and output requirements.

  • Analyze input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls to ensure efficient system operations.

  • Prepare comprehensive operating instructions and design utility programs and operating systems.

  • Ensure all software standards are met throughout the development lifecycle.

  • Analyze user needs and software requirements to determine the feasibility of designs within established time and cost constraints.

  • Confer with systems analysts, engineers, and programmers to design systems and obtain information on project limitations and performance requirements.

  • Design, develop, and modify software systems using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcomes.

  • Coordinate software system installations and monitor equipment functioning to ensure all technical specifications are met.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and 5 years of experience or a Master's degree and 3 years of experience or an Associate's degree and 7 years of experience or a High School diploma/equivalent  and 9 years of experience.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder.
  • Proven experience with HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (ES6+).
  • Deep expertise in the Angular Framework, including Angular CLI, Angular Material UI Component Library, and SCSS.
  • Demonstrated experience building Single Page Applications (SPA) utilizing Component-Based Architecture, Dependency Injection, and State Management principles.
  • Strong proficiency in TypeScript and Reactive Programming using RxJS and Observables.
  • Experience consuming RESTful APIs using Angular’s HttpClient.
  • Experience with Node.js, NPM, and version control using Git.
  • Experience with Unit Testing specifically using the Jasmine and Karma frameworks.
  • Experience working within Agile Methodologies and participating in standard Scrum ceremonies.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Content Security Policy (CSP) and implementing complex Authentication and Authorization protocols (e.g., OAuth2, OpenID Connect).

  • Specialized experience in advanced Reactive Programming patterns to optimize application performance.

  • Familiarity with UX Design principles to bridge the gap between graphical design and technical implementation.

  • Experience supporting state or local government digital standards or large-scale modernization efforts.

Details

Target Salary Range: $86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
