About The Role

Peraton is seeking an Assessments and Capability Analyst to work on-site at Camp Smith, HI

  • This position will provide policy advice, technical assistance, and support to MARFORPAC in the planning, coordination, de-confliction, and implementation of C5 capabilities across the MARFORPAC Area of Operation.
  • Provide operational planning support to all operations and exercise life-cycle events with a focus on specific C5 capabilities.
  • Attain a mastery of understanding the Operational Plan and Concept Plan C5 requirements/capabilities at the Tactical an Operational level to match emerging technologies to FMF needs and assess the effectiveness of current organic capabilities.

What you will do:

  • In coordination with higher, adjacent, and subordinate commands assess the effectiveness of Fleet Marine Force (FMF) Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Cyberspace (C5) capabilities that support assured C2 (AC2) and the closing of kill webs in exercises and operations in the U.S. PACOM AOR. Specifically, assess the C5 capabilities’ effectiveness supporting the FMF and MARFORPAC HQ in relation to the objectives and tasks outlined in the MARFORPAC Campaign Plan (MFPCP) and Campaign Order (MFPCO). 
  • Provide reports and briefs to senior leadership that assess the C5 effectiveness in relation to MFPCO/CP objectives/tasks.
  • Assess C5 capability effectiveness during Theater Security Cooperation and SMEE events with allied and partner nations.
  • Maintain knowledge of emerging C5 technologies that could benefit the FMF in meeting assigned missions.
  • Serve as the G-6’s lead in C5-related science and technology (S&T) experimentations in coordination with the MARFORPAC G-9, Marine Corps Tactical Systems Support Activity (MCTSSA), Marine Corps Systems Command (MARCORSYSCOM), and other organizations.
  • Serve as the primary G-6 entry point for industry partners seeking to discuss their C5 technologies
  • Coordinate with the subject matter experts across the G-6 staff to evaluate emerging technologies.
  • Assess how emerging technologies can meet tasks/missions assigned to the FMF.
  • Coordinate/plan the testing of C5 technologies in the appropriate operations, activities and investments (OAI) (e.g. Bold Quest, Island Marauder, etc.)
  • Register C5 requirements via formal means such as Universal Needs Statement (UNS), Integrated Priorities Lists (IPLs), Marine Corps Gap list, etc., in order to drive adoption of technologies.
Qualifications

Required:  

  • Minimum of 12 years with BS/BA; 10 years with MS/MA; 7 years with Ph.D.; Will consider Associate with14 years or HS with 16 years of experience
  • Active TS/SCI clearance is required
  • Conducts necessary travel for planning conferences, OAI execution and engagements with allies and partners.
  • Knowledge of DOD, USMC and military culture and procedures
  • Ability to manage and brief senior leaders
  • U.S Citizenship required

 

Details

Target Salary Range: $112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
