Program Overview
About The Role

Peraton seeks a Cybersecurity Assessor focused on Critical Infrastructure (CI) and Operational Technology (OT) to assess the cyber readiness and security of the Army’s CI/OT. Location:  Fort Eisenhower, GA.

 

Tasks include:

  • Assess the cyber readiness and security of the Army’s CI/OT
  • Implement, maintain, and secure physical systems in an industrial environment, including hardware and software like Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems, Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) controllers, and other automation tools
  • Monitor industrial processes and network traffic to validate good cybersecurity posture
  • Provide a deep understanding of both technical systems and industry-specific regulations,
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, and IT teams to ensure smooth functionality and compliance with cybersecurity standard.
Qualifications

Required:

  • Minimum of 12 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 10 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 7 years with Ph.D. Will consider HS+16 years of experience
  • Must have 4-6 years of specific relevant experience -- being knowledgeable of OT cybersecurity best practices, threat landscape, and mitigation strategies in SCADA, PLC, HMI, DCS, and other industrial automation systems
  • Requires an IAT level II qualifying certification
  • Requires a CSSP-Analyst qualifying certification

  • Must have an understanding of the Active Defense approach, ICS-specific attacks and how these attacks inform mitigation strategies.
  • Must be able to provide engineering solutions for industrial control systems with regard to IT and cyber security for acquisition
  • Must have experience in SCADA, PLC, HMI, DCS, and other industrial automation systems
  • Must be able to perform the following tasks:
    • Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities within OT systems
    • Analyze OT network architecture and identify security gaps
    • Perform vulnerability scans on OT devices and systems
    • Prioritize identified risks and develop mitigation strategies
    • Ensure adherence to industry regulations and standards related to OT systems, safety, and data integrity
    • Advise on OT security best practices, threat landscape, and mitigation strategies
    • Able to interpret operational data to identify trends, anomalies, and potential risks
  • Active DOD TS/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain Polygraph and MEAD
  • U.S Citizen Required
  • Must be able to travel on-site to assess the cybersecurity of OT networks to sensor

Preferred:

  • Active DOD TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph
  • An IAT Level III certfication
  • GIAC Cyber Threat Intelligence (GCTI) certification 
  • Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional (GICSP) certification
  • GIAC Response and Industrial Defense (GRID) certification
  • Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC) certification
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)

Details

Target Salary Range: $135,000 - $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
