Program Overview
About The Role

Peraton is seeking a Business Analyst Lead for the Department of Defense (DoD) DMDC's Enterprise Law Enforcement Support Services (ELEs2) program.  In this role, you help direct a team to analyze data, identify patterns, and support business decisions. You will play a crucial role in translating complex data into actionable insights that drive strategic action and improve operational efficiency. You will be the vital link between our Public Sector client, internal and external information technology (IT) assets and our business objectives by supporting and ensuring the successful completion of software requirements capture, analytical, and testing tasks of our software product’s features. The ideal candidate will have experience with the Agile and Scrum software development methodologies, JIRA, MS Office, and the ability to manipulate SQL queries. You will have a solid understanding of and ability to implement Business Analysis best practices using a change-driven approach to drive the design or review of test cases, process change requests, to manage a project’s scope, acceptance, installation and deployment. Candidate will be writing technical documentation and must possess excellent writing skills

 

 What You’ll Do:

  • Assess customer requirements and match system solutions to optimize software development and operations efficiencies
  • Define configuration specifications and business analysis requirements based on customer requirements
  • Write process documentation
  • Deliver elements of systems design, business rules, wireframes, data migration rules, or other detailed deliverables
  • Operate as the liaison between the functional and technical resources and participate in the agile software development process for the creation of system functionality; including upgrades, system modifications, day-to-day problem analysis, and issue tracking to enhance our integration
  • Operate as a subject matter expert (SME) resource for the customer and the software development teams with regards to the functional elements of our product, including solution support for existing functionality and generating enhancement requirements for system improvement
  • Perform data analysis and quality assurance
  • Report on common sources of technical issues or questions, or key insights and findings, and make recommendations to product team to deliver better value to the client
Qualifications

Required Qualifications: 

  • Minimum of 8 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 6 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 3 years with PhD, 12 years of experience in lieu of degree
  •  Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance
  • Must be a U.S Citizen
  • Experience defining business requirements for AI-driven features, collaborating with data scientists and developers, and evaluating AI outputs for accuracy and relevance is essential.
  • Experience with translating complex business problems into AI-solvable use cases, performing gap analyses, and ensuring that AI solutions align with user needs, compliance standards, and organizational objectives.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of AI capabilities and limitations, particularly in the areas of natural language processing, data analytics, and workflow automation.

Details

Target Salary Range: $112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
