Specifically, we are looking for a TS/SCI cleared Cloud Engineer - SME to support this mission at Pope Airfield, North Carolina.
Responsibilities:
As a Cloud Engineer - SME, you will provide technical and management leadership for all equipment and information support functions across the Task Order. Your responsibilities include:
- Provides leadership for cloud-based engineering support across the Task Order, establishing overarching goals and strategic plans for delivering advanced technological solutions for mission-critical infrastructure. Leads activities to transition to modernize engineering practices, digital engineering frameworks, and emerging mission systems technologies
- Directs and controls the strategic development and implementation of comprehensive cloud engineering strategies that enhance data management, computational capabilities, and technological scalability across all relevant environments (e.g., Azure, AWS, GC2, mC2, DAF CLOUDworks).
- Possesses expert domain and technical knowledge in cloud architecture and C2ISR systems, applying this to define and drive the technical roadmap for optimizing cloud-based infrastructure to address emerging mission requirements and technological challenges.
- Has overall responsibility for establishing and implementing innovative cloud engineering approaches that significantly improve mission effectiveness, technological adaptability, and continuous cloud infrastructure improvement. Provides training on integrated C2ISR workflows, data flows, and cross-platform dependencies
- Engages in high-level client negotiations and interfaces with senior management regarding the strategic vision, capabilities, and resource allocation for advanced cloud solutions within the C2ISR Transport Infrastructure.
- Utilizes expert domain knowledge and decision-making that has a critical impact on the overall project implementation, ensuring all cloud solutions enable continuous mission-focused technological innovation, including auto-scaling and AI/ML tools to optimize workloads and achieve real-time adaptive performance.
- Directs and controls the methods and staffing for cloud engineering teams, ensuring delivery of high-impact, scalable, and resilient cloud solutions.
- Oversees the strategic maintenance and evolution of critical cloud environments like Grizzly Cloud 2.0, milCloud 2.0 IL5 LZ networks, and DAF CLOUDworks, ensuring optimal support for ISR data and C2ISR applications.
- Provides authoritative guidance on advanced design, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and virtualization strategies for Government expeditionary C2 applications and their migration between cloud (e.g., Grizzly Cloud 2.0) and expeditionary systems.
- Shapes the future direction of cloud integration for the Task Order by pioneering new cloud services, ITSM platform integrations, and advanced capabilities for digital workflows and just-in-time provisioning.
- Utilize EdgeView to monitor and manage edge devices, troubleshoot network performance, and ensure the reliability of distributed network environments.
- Leverage Haivision solutions for live and secure video streaming, real-time video encoding, and low-latency media delivery in enterprise or mission-critical applications.
- Operate and maintain UVDS (Unified Visual Display System) for seamless data integration and visualization in command and control center environments.
