Program Overview
About The Role

Peraton is hiring a Communications Test Engineer in San Diego, CA.  This role will be on-site.

 

What you'll do:

  • Directly support the MIMO networks for underwater and surface unmanned systems.
  • Develop forward deployed communication architectures bridging UUVs, USVs and Marine Corps tactical networks.
  • work with expeditionary and Satellite communications.
  • Support the
  • Command & Control (C2) Systems & Tactical Data Fusion.
  • Integrate and test UUV–USV communications paths, ensuring seamless federation of acoustic and IP-based data into the CTP.
  • Supported Marine Corps fielding, testing, and sustainment of LEON Family of Systems (FoS) and System of Systems (SoS) platforms.

 

 

 

Qualifications

What you'll need:

  • Education:  2 years with BS/BA; 0 years with MS/MA; 6 years with no degree
  • Clearance:  Active Secret clearance
  • Experience in configuring and troubleshooting LAN-to-WAN architectures that federate tactical edge data into a single Common Tactical Picture (CTP)
  • Knowledge of Expeditionary & Satellite Communications:
  • Experienced in Starlink and expeditionary SATCOM integration to extend connectivity from the tactical edge to operational nodes.
  • Proficient in routing, server administration, and network configuration across Windows, Linux, and Cisco-based environments.

 

SCA / Union / Intern Rate or Range

Details

Target Salary Range: $80,000 - $128,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
