Program Overview
Supports the U. S. Air Force by providing processes and tools to enable the enterprise division and its customers to acquire, develop, manage, transform, inspect, store, distribute, and maintain technical data. Recognized as the authority in technical data management, the program sustains two Air Force Enterprise systems.
About The Role

Peraton is seeking a SCA Computer Operator IV for a position at Robins Air Force Base, GA.

 

Location: On-site at Robins Air Force Base, GA.

 

Role and Responsibilities: 

 

The Computer Operator IV processes a range of scheduled routines. In addition to operating the system and resolving common error conditions, you will diagnose and act on error conditions not fully covered by existing procedures and guidelines. In response to computer output instructions or error conditions, you may need to deviate from standard procedures if standard procedures do not provide a solution and refers problems which do not respond to corrective procedures to a person of supervisory or higher individual contributor level.

 

In this role, you will:

  • Perform Parts Configuration Management System (PCMS) Sustainment, PCMS Quality Assurance (QA), PCMS Engineering Drawing Relationship (EDR), D200F review, and/or Centralized Technical Order Repository data load and data currency review functions.
  • Process a range of scheduled routines.
  • Capture data and sustain data using predefined processes.
  • Apply predefined business rules using provided macros and manual intervention to meet formatting and data completeness requirements for a semi-automated process.
  • Identify and resolve data errors that do not respond to standard procedures, including data package issues, application and tool thresholds, and system constraints.
  • Work in alternate software to resolve errors that cannot be resolved in native software.
  • Perform quality assurance review of data capture and sustainment; identify and document errors and provide error resolution recommendations.
  • Use provided macros to report error criticality and accuracy rates.
  • Provide guidance and training to less senior operators.
  • Perform data research in order to establish links between various types of data across multiple data systems. Use business rules to determine data eligibility for loading into various systems.
  • Identify common data content issues and suggest resolutions prior to loading into PDSS data systems. Subject matter expert for data and system processes.
  • Correct errors in data capture per quality assurance review. 
  • Interact with data owners, customers, and teams within other organizations regarding data and system requirements.
  • Sustain process documentation.
  • Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Perform technical research applicable to work duties.
  • Possess strong organizational skills and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • High school diploma with at least 8 years of related experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Access.
  • Ability to perform technical research applicable to work duties.
  • Strong organizational skills and strong communication skills.
  • U.S. citizenship. 
  • Ability to obtain Department of Defense Common Access Card (CAC).

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Possess a current or recent (within 90 days) CAC.

Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
