About The Role

Peraton is currently seeking a Contracts Administrator to support our Defense sector. The person who fills this role will manage proposals, contracts administration, and general business processes of contract management for government programs under the Homeland & Diplomacy and Justice Sector.

 

The Position will be responsible for the following: 

 

  • Manage a portfolio of contracts of various contract types and complexities. 
  • Partner with Project teams to provide daily support on coordination of  contractual and business matters.  Engage with multiple functions to support problem solving and providing creative solutions on various contractual problem sets.
  • Monitor funding, budgets, and invoices against contracts and mitigate cost overruns.
  • Ensure project compliance with government contracting requirements.
  • Manage the start-up and close-out process for all assigned projects.
  • Developing cost proposals and narratives for proposals, strengthening the company’s competitive position
  • Develop strong customer relationships, interacting frequently, and working with internal and external customers to support resolution of issues and streamline processes.
  • Analyze, prepare and negotiate and administer contractual agreements such as Teaming & Non-Disclosure Agreements, Contracts, Subcontracts, and other binding agreements.
Qualifications
  • Bachelors’ Degree in Business or related field plus a minimum of 5 years of related work experience 
  • 9+ years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree. 
  • Experience working proposal responses to Request for Proposal (RFP), participating in RFP and proposal review meetings, contract pre-award meetings, conducting negotiations, and drafting/finalization of contract.
  • Experience managing Government contracts under FAR, DFAR, and other agency supplements. 
  • Experience preparing, maintaining, retrieving, and communicating records, reports, or documents that may be required to meet corporate and Contract Management requirements
  • Experience performing closeout of contracts, finalizing outstanding contract issues, issuing final modifications & invoices, and coordinating completion of contractor performance evaluations
  • Experience interfacing with all levels of the project team (includes representing and interfacing with all levels of internal and/or external management and corporate organization person’s documents
  • US Citizenship required. 

Desired Qualifications

  • Proficient in general business applications like Deltek CostPoint, Microsoft Office -Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat Pro
  • Self-starter and independent worker with good organizational and computer skills.
  • Deltek experience is a plus
  • Working Knowledge of contract types and contract terms
  • Understand and implement policies and procedures
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Details

Target Salary Range: $66,000 - $106,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
