Program Overview
About The Role

Peraton seeks a Cyber Defensive Operations Engineer/Lead specializing in Critical Infrastructure (CI) and Operational Technology (OT) to lead a project addressing the Army’s CI/O security.  Location: Fort Eisenhower 

  • Monitors, analyzes, and detects cyber events and incidents within information systems and networks.
  • Assists with integrated, dynamic cyber defense, coordinates and maintains security tool-sets to support organizations’ continuous monitoring and ongoing authorization programs.
  • Establishes a framework by which cyber risk can be measured and quantified.
  • Determines security requirements by evaluating business strategies and requirements; researching information security standards; conducting system security and vulnerability analyses and risk assessments; studying architecture/platform; identifying integration issues; preparing cost estimates.
  • Identifies intrusion detection methodologies and equipment, providing technical support, and completing documentation.
  • Maintains security by monitoring and ensuring compliance to standards, policies, and procedures; conducting incident response analyses; developing and conducting training programs. 
  • Ensures that the architecture and design of development and operational systems are functional and secure. 
Qualifications

Required:

  • Minimum of 12 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 10 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 7 years with Ph.D.  Will consider HS+16 years of experience.
  • Must have advanced level of experience and knowledge to advise key stakeholders such as G2 ACE, G36, CPB, USACE, USAMC on key capabilities including intelligence production with regard to facility-related ICSs, Organic Industrial Base, and civil works.
  • Required certifications/training/experience:
    • ISA/IEC 62443, SANS GIAC Critical Infrastructure Protection (GCIP), or
    • GIAC Response and Industrial Defense (GRID) Certification, or
    • ICS612 training, or
    • at least 5 years of specific OT/ICS cybersecurity experience
  • Requires IAM Level III certification
  • Must understand physical and logical communication methods and protocols used in ICS, PLC, SCADA, DCS, RTU, and HMI systems
  • Knowledgeable of current cybersecurity techniques specific to control systems
  • Awareness of emerging trends and technologies in the convergence of OT and IT networks
  • Understand ICS operations and what normal and abnormal operations look like
  • Understand methods used by threats to disrupt, manipulate, or control OT systems
  • Must be knowledgeable of OT cybersecurity best practices, threat landscape, and mitigation strategies in SCADA, PLC, Human Machine Interface (HMI), Distributed Control Systems (DCS), and other industrial automation systems.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain Polygraph and MEAD
  • U,S Citizenship Required
  • Must be able to travel and/or provide surge support

Details

Target Salary Range: $135,000 - $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
