About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Cybersecurity Engineer to join our team in the greater DMV area, supporting the Army National Guard.
Responsibilities
- Assist with implementation and maintenance of security controls across network, endpoint, and cloud environments.
- Configure and support security tools (AV/EDR, vulnerability scanners, NAC, DLP) under senior guidance and document secure settings.
- Apply STIG baselines and validate control effectiveness through testing, evidence collection, and documentation.
- Review vulnerability findings, participate in remediation activities, and track status in vulnerability management systems.
- Support RMF evidence collection, update eMASS artifacts, and help prepare control validation artifacts.
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to troubleshoot security issues and support continuous monitoring objectives.
- Maintain configuration records, change logs, and audit‑quality documentation to support inspections and accreditation.
- Participate in on‑call rotations or incident response support as required.

Qualifications
- 0 years with BS/BA; 4 years no degree
Clearance: Active TS/SCI clearance.
Candidate must meet ONE of the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or Software Engineering; OR
- Relevant DoD/military training (example: DAU DCWF 541 Vulnerability Assessment Analyst – Basic Playlist); OR
- Relevant professional certification or equivalent experience (example: CEH).
Required experience and skills:
- Experience supporting cybersecurity operations, vulnerability remediation, or security tool administration.
- Familiarity with STIGs, NIST SP 800‑53 fundamentals, RMF evidence practices, and basic vulnerability scoring/prioritization.
- Hands‑on or lab experience with vulnerability scanning (ACAS/Nessus), endpoint security, and basic networking concepts.
- Basic scripting or automation familiarity (PowerShell, Python, Bash) preferred for evidence collection or remediation tasks.
- Strong documentation skills and attention to detail for audit‑quality records.
Desired:
- Prior exposure to DoD/ARNG environments, eMASS workflows, or CCRI/RMF support.
- Experience with ticketing systems, configuration repositories, and collaborative engineering workflows.

Details
Target Salary Range: $51,000 - $82,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
