Program Overview
About The Role

Peraton’s Defense Mission and Global Health Solutions Sector is seeking Deputy Project Manager supports the Program Manager in the overall execution of a Clinical Center Supply Chain Modernization program. This role ensures day-to-day coordination across technical, functional, and cybersecurity teams, manages schedules and deliverables, and serves as the primary backup to the PM for stakeholder engagement and program oversight. The lead is also responsible for ensuring that all technical solutions and services under the Supply Chain Modernization contract to meet HHS, and Federal security and privacy requirements. The role leads the preparation of the System Security Plan (SSP), ATO package, and ongoing continuous monitoring in alignment with NIST RMF, FedRAMP, and customer policies.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the PM in planning, execution, and monitoring of project milestones across Inventory Management, Warehouse, POU, and Storage modernization.
  • Track deliverables, dependencies, risks, and issues; escalate to PM and government stakeholders as needed.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams (Infor implementation, integration, training, cybersecurity) to ensure alignment.
  • Support development of project plans, status reports, and performance metrics.
  • Lead working sessions, CRPs, and UAT coordination when delegated by PM.
  • Ensure compliance with customer acceptance criteria, transition plans, and documentation requirements.
  • Act as PM delegate during absences, providing authoritative decision-making within delegated scope.
  • Develop and deliver the System Security Plan (SSP) within 30 days of contract start, ensuring NIST SP 800-18 Rev.1 compliance.
  • Lead preparation and submission of the full Authority to Operate (ATO) package, ensuring alignment with FISMA, NIST RMF, FedRAMP, and CC requirements.
  • Implement role-based access controls, PIV authentication, and Single Sign-On integrations.
  • Oversee vulnerability management and ensure remediation within timelines (15 days for critical, 30 days for high, etc.).
  • Establish and maintain POA&Ms, incident response plans, and continuous monitoring reports.
  • Ensure remote access complies with customer approved methods (SecureLink, Citrix, or customer-approved alternatives).
  • Provide cybersecurity guidance during integration of EHR (CRIS), Oracle Financials, and cloud SaaS platforms.
  • Serve as the point of contact for customer cybersecurity reviews, audits, and penetration testing.

This position is contingent upon Peraton receiving a contract award.

Qualifications
  • 12 years of experience, may have supervisory or management experience
  • 8+ years of project management experience, including at least 3 years in federal health IT or supply chain modernization.
  • Experience coordinating SaaS implementations (Infor, Oracle, or similar platforms).
  • Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and leadership skills.
  • 10+ years in cybersecurity with 5+ years in federal health IT or enterprise SaaS/cloud systems.
  • Strong knowledge of NIST SP 800-53, NIST SP 800-171, FedRAMP, FIPS 140-validated encryption, and HHS IS2P policies.
  • Demonstrated experience leading successful ATOs for federal healthcare or logistics systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CISSP, CISM, or equivalent certification preferred.
  • PMP or equivalent certification preferred.

Details

Target Salary Range: $146,000 - $234,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
