This role will be onsite in Bethesda, MD.
The Electronics Technician (ACLS) is a field-based technical professional responsible for supporting site surveys, site preparation, system installation, system cutover, and legacy system decommissioning in coordination with customers and project teams. This role helps deploy and transition communication and electronic systems while ensuring installations meet technical specifications and site requirements.
The position requires strong hands-on technical ability, troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work directly with customers in operational field environments.
Support coordination and execution of:
Site surveys
Site preparation activities
System installations
System cutovers
Legacy system decommissioning
Perform testing to validate power, grounding, and cabling installations
Confirm installations comply with equipment specifications and site requirements
Install mobile and fixed-base radio systems, including:
Antennas
Transceivers
Amplifiers
Power supplies
Integrate radio and communication hardware with vehicle electronics, control systems, or IT/network infrastructure
Assist in ensuring reliable voice and data transmission
Conduct testing and calibration using tools such as:
SWR meters
Wattmeters
Signal generators
Troubleshoot and resolve technical and signal performance issues
Document installation, configuration, and testing results
Provide on-site customer support and technical assistance
Experience in electronics, RF communications, or radio system installation
Knowledge of RF fundamentals and antenna systems
Experience working with mobile or fixed communication systems
Ability to use RF testing and diagnostic equipment
Strong troubleshooting and technical problem-solving skills
Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and installation diagrams
Experience validating cabling and power installations
Strong communication and customer service skills
Ability to work in field environments and travel as required
Experience supporting aviation, transportation, or mission-critical communication systems
Familiarity with system cutover and legacy system removal activities
Experience working on multi-site deployment projects
Basic knowledge of network integration for voice/data systems
