About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Enterprise Architect to join our team in the greater DMV area, supporting the Army National Guard.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain ARNG enterprise architecture using the DoDAF framework; produce AV, OV, CV, SV, and SdtV artifacts aligning business, data, application, and technology layers.
- Conduct current/future‑state architecture assessments, gap analyses, and capability shortfall evaluations; recommend scalable, interoperable modernization solutions.
- Map mission objectives to architecture roadmaps, transition plans, and technical capability roadmaps supporting strategic planning and portfolio decisions.
- Collaborate with system engineers, data architects, cybersecurity, program leadership, and external partners to ensure new initiatives comply with approved architecture standards.
- Maintain and govern the enterprise architecture repository: update models/diagrams, enforce metadata/version control, and ensure artifact traceability.
- Support architecture review boards, governance activities, compliance assessments, and DoDAF artifact adjudication.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and produce decision‑grade recommendations, COAs, and ROMs that improve future‑state design and operational effectiveness.
- Produce architecture deliverables, CONOPS, integration patterns, and executive briefings to inform leadership and acquisition/modernization timelines.

Qualifications
- Minimum of 8 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 6 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 3 years with PhD
Clearance: Active TS/SCI clearance.
Candidate must meet ONE of the following:
- Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field; OR
- Relevant DoD/military training (example: Enterprise Architect (Advanced) Playlist); OR
- Relevant professional certification or equivalent experience (examples: CISSO, CISSP‑ISSAP, CISSP‑ISSEP, GCIA, GCLD, GCSA, GICSP).
Required experience and skills:
- Enterprise architecture or systems engineering experience with at least 3 years producing/governing DoDAF‑compliant artifacts in large or DoD/regulatory environments.
- Deep proficiency with DoDAF viewpoints, architecture modeling tools, repository management, and AV/OV/SV/CV/SdtV artifact production.
- Strong skills in architecture assessment, gap analysis, roadmap/transition planning, and creation of CONOPS/ROMs/COAs.
- Knowledge of RMF/ATO interactions, data traceability, interoperability standards, and audit/evidence practices.
- Excellent stakeholder facilitation, governance board leadership, and executive briefing abilities.
Desired:
- Expert certifications (preferred): CASP+, AWS Professional, or equivalent cloud/data architecture credentials.
- Prior DoD/ARNG enterprise architecture or G6 experience and familiarity with acquisition/POM processes.
- Experience integrating architecture artifacts with data governance, cybersecurity architectures, and portfolio modernization roadmaps.

Details
Target Salary Range: $112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
