Program Overview
About The Role

Peraton has an exciting and important opportunity for an experienced Senior Enterprise Architect (EA), to support a critical agency within the Federal Government, working within the Office of Information Technology (OCIO). The right candidate has experience in IT, including hands-on experience with cloud architecture supporting multi-tier cloud or hybrid applications, virtualized infrastructure, and enterprise cloud architecture. You are a technical leader who is committed to ensuring the safety and security of our nation. You will be Key Personnel leading support for a suite of government developed information systems designed to tackle the agency’s mission.

This position will be located in Washington, DC/MD/VA area.

 

Daily Responsibilities:

  • Provides support in business planning and strategy, focusing on business capabilities and maturity.
  • Understands agency services, core missions, and matches them with best-in-class technology to define a “north-star” target state.
  • Collaborates to define prioritization and sequencing of the transformation process by developing and proposing the strategic roadmap leading to the target state.
  • Responsible for maintaining a strong understanding of agency business processes, IT systems, and data management.
  • Responsible for identifying and assessing the impact of new technologies on the enterprise architecture.
  • Responsible for maintaining a technical understanding of network security, coding, project management, and systems architecture.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • 6 years of experience with a Master’s degree (M.S.) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Security or similar discipline
  • 6 years of applied experience as an Enterprise Architect.
  • Hands-on IT experience including experience with cloud architecture for multi-tier cloud or hybrid applications, virtualized infrastructure, and enterprise cloud architecture
  • Active Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and ITIL Certification
  • Cloud FinOps Certified Practitioner (FOCP) required.
  • Experience interfacing and being responsive to customers, preferable in a federal government environment.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical staff.
  • Experience with modernization/transformation efforts, preferably within a federal government IT environment
  • Ability to design and provision infrastructure, develop UML diagrams, and apply enterprise architecture governance
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance prior to starting contract related work.
  • U.S. Citizenship required

Details

Target Salary Range: $135,000 - $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
