About The Role

Peraton is seeking a forward-thinking Enterprise IT Services SME to join our team of qualified, diverse professionals. This role can be based remotely within the U.S.

Day to Day Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of IT engineers and specialists supporting enterprise messaging, authentication, mobility, and cloud services.
  • Manage the technical assessment, design, and deployment of enterprise-level IT solutions.
  • Ensure team structure is cohesive, high-performing, and aligned to organizational objectives.
  • Provide advanced technical consulting and guidance on troubleshooting, system management, tuning, and solution optimization.
  • Promote knowledge sharing, standardization, and process improvement across teams.
  • Deliver high-quality IT services through integration of people, processes, and technology following industry best practices.
  • Maintain current knowledge of hardware, software, and cloud technologies relevant to enterprise operations.
  • Lead the research, testing, documentation, and implementation of new technologies and operational improvements.
  • Support after-hours maintenance and participate in on-call rotation as required.
Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience) and 12 years experience or high school diploma/equivalent and 16 years experience
  • Minimum of 4–5 years of experience with Windows Active Directory administration.
  • Minimum of 4–5 years of experience with Microsoft Messaging products (Exchange 2016 or later).
  • 2–3 years of experience in Microsoft 365 administration.
  • Demonstrated experience leading and supervising technical teams.
  • Proficiency in automation, programming, and scripting (PowerShell required; API, JSON, and Python preferred).
  • Experience with enterprise monitoring and management tools (e.g., Microsoft System Center Operations Manager).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to apply configuration management and quality control best practices.
  • Must be able to provide after-hours and on-call support as needed.
  • U.S. Citizenship required; must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Experience working in large-scale enterprise or government IT environments.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Proven ability to operate effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional setting.

 

SCA / Union / Intern Rate or Range

Details

Target Salary Range: $104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
