About The Role

This is an excellent opportunity for rearly-career software developers to gain hands-on experience with cloud technologies, modern software development, and enterprise application modernization while working alongside experienced engineers.

What You Will Do:

  • As an Entry-Level Full Stack Software Developer you will work as part of an Agile development team to support the modernization of legacy applications and the automation of business processes. Responsibilities include:
  • Collaborate with team members to understand business and technical requirements.
  • Assist in translating requirements into user stories and development tasks.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Develop, test, and maintain software applications under the guidance of senior developers.
  • Contribute to front-end and back-end application development.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and secure code following established coding standards.
  • Develop and execute unit and integration tests.
  • Support Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) processes.
  • Assist with troubleshooting, debugging, and resolving software defects.
  • Participate in software demonstrations and provide support during application deployments.
  • Learn and apply cloud development, DevSecOps, and modern software engineering best practices.
 
Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Software development experience (internships, co-ops, academic projects, or personal projects may be considered).
  • Basic understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
  • Experience through coursework or projects using one or more of the following:
    • Python
    • Selenium
    • Java
    • Angular or another modern JavaScript framework
  • Familiarity with relational databases and SQL.
  • Basic knowledge of web application development concepts.
  • Exposure to source control systems such as Git or Azure DevOps.
  • Understanding of Agile software development methodologies.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
  • Must be able to obtain the MPP Certification
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain the required Agency Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Exposure to Microsoft Azure or other cloud platforms.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and DevOps practices.
  • Experience using Visual Studio or Visual Studio Code.
  • Exposure to Git, Azure DevOps, or Team Foundation Server.
  • Familiarity with REST APIs and web services.
  • Basic knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker.
  • Interest in learning cloud computing, DevSecOps, automation, and enterprise software development.
 
Details

Target Salary Range: $51,000 - $82,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
