We are seeking an Expert System Architect to serve as a technical leader and strategic advisor in the design, development, and implementation of complex enterprise solutions. This role provides guidance to Government leadership on applications, APIs, data services, platforms, cloud environments, and infrastructure systems, ensuring alignment with Enterprise Architecture standards and long-term strategic objectives.
Provide expert guidance to Government stakeholders in the design, development, documentation, and maintenance of enterprise solution architectures.
Ensure all architectures maintain full traceability to Enterprise Architecture standards and enterprise-level requirements.
Lead evaluation of user requirements, business processes, and system performance to identify opportunities for automation, optimization, and modernization.
Recommend strategies that improve mission system efficiency and operational effectiveness.
Serve as a trusted advisor in assessing emerging technologies, recommending architectural enhancements and modernization approaches that drive innovation.
Support long-term strategic planning for enterprise systems and technology adoption.
Direct and coordinate Senior-, Mid-, and Junior-Level System Architect teams to ensure cohesive design and technical integrity.
Promote alignment of architectural efforts with program goals and objectives.
Ensure all architecture decisions adhere to enterprise policies, standards, and best practices.
Promote interoperability, scalability, and security across enterprise systems.

Education / Experience:
Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or a related STEM discipline;
OR 18 years of relevant experience as a Systems Architect may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
Professional Experience:
Minimum of 18 years of experience in government or industry within one or more of the following domains:
Enterprise Architecture
Solution Architecture
Data Architecture
Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF)
Intelligence Community (IC) Program Architecture Guidance (PAG)
Clearance: Active TS/SCI clearance or the ability to obtain SCI access and successfully pass a polygraph examination.
Technical Knowledge: Working knowledge of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) principles, processes, tools, and modeling languages.
Certifications:
Federated Enterprise Architect – Certified Enterprise Architect credential.
National Defense University (NDU), College of Information and Cyberspace – Enterprise Architecture Certification.
