Engineering modernization and integration practices to include Digital Engineering and Agile at Scale for all of NGA, NSG, and ASG.
About The Role

We are seeking a Senior-level Test Systems Engineer to play a key leadership role within our testing and evaluation teams. In this role, you will support the National System for Geospatial-Intelligence (NSG), Allied System for Geospatial-Intelligence (ASG), and other Federal Agencies, ensuring the delivery of timely, accurate, and mission-critical GEOINT.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor mid- and junior-level systems engineers in testing and evaluation efforts across NSG, ASG, and partner agencies.

  • Perform application and API testing within DevOps pipelines, applying both government-established and industry-standard quality assurance practices.

  • Conduct independent integration testing of system software and hardware to verify compliance with defined requirements.

  • Plan and execute both manual and automated test cases, leveraging scripting and programming techniques to support test automation.

  • Investigate and analyze defects uncovered during testing to support root cause analysis and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Education & Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Engineering Management, Management Information Systems, or a related STEM field.

    • In lieu of a degree:

      • 4 additional years of relevant experience with no degree, or

      • 2 additional years with a non-STEM degree.

    • 18+ years of systems integration experience in government or industry, working with large-scale System of Systems or Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) environments across cloud, on-premise, or hybrid infrastructures.

  • Technical Skills:

    • Experience with test management and defect tracking tools.

    • Hands-on experience with traditional, Agile, and DevOps development methodologies, including related testing practices.

  • Domain Expertise:

    • Prior experience supporting programs or projects within the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) and/or the National System for Geospatial-Intelligence (NSG)/Allied System for Geospatial-Intelligence (ASG).

    • Background working within the Intelligence Community (IC) or Department of Defense (DoD) environments.

  • Clearance:

    • Active TS/SCI clearance or the ability to obtain SCI access and successfully pass a polygraph.

Desired:

  • Advanced Education:

    • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Engineering Management, Management Information Systems, or related STEM discipline.

  • Tools & Technologies:

    • Familiarity with tools such as JMeter, Jenkins, Docker, Postman, Swagger, Nexus, Apigee, GitHub/GitLab (or equivalents).

    • Proficiency in Java, Python, Bash, JavaScript, Curl, XML, JSON, SQL, and experience with AWS and C2S environments.

  • Engineering Knowledge:

    • Working knowledge of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) principles, tools, and processes.

    • Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) best practices.

SCA / Union / Intern Rate or Range

Details

Target Salary Range: $135,000 - $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
