About The Role

We are currently seeking an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) for an IC mission in the Annapolis Junction, MD area.

 

Responsibilities may include:

  • Provide support for a program, organization, system, or enclave's information assurance program.
  • Provide support for proposing, coordinating, implementing, and enforcing information systems security policies, standards, and methodologies.
  • Perform or review technical security assessments of computing environments to identify points of vulnerability, non-compliance with established Information Assurance (IA) standards and regulations and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Provide security planning, assessment, risk analysis, and risk management. Recommends system-level solutions to resolve security requirements.
  • Provide configuration management (CM) for information systems security software, hardware, and manages changes to systems and assess the security impact of those changes.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, Information Security System Engineering, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Four (4) years of additional ISSO experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
  • Minimum of fourteen (14) years experience as an ISSO/ISSE on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
  • 2 years experience hardened operating Systems (OS) loads
  • 2 years experience PL3, PL4, and PL5 solutions
  • 2 years experience analyzing proprietary data formats
  • 2 years experience DCID 6/3 documentation process
  • CISSP Certification or willingness to obtain is required prior to start.
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance with current polygraph is required.

 

Salary Range Estimate:

The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Peraton's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Peraton provides a variety of benefits to employees.

Details

Target Salary Range: $146,000 - $234,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
