Peraton is seeking a IT Monitoring Administrator (MicroFocus OBM & NNM) to join our team and help shape the future of U.S. airspace operations. In this pivotal role, you will ensure that FAA National Airspace Systems are upgraded in a timely manner.

 

We are seeking a detail-oriented, IT professional to support our enterprise monitoring environment for a long-term, on-site engagement. The primary focus of this role will be the day-to-day administration, onboarding of Configuration Items (CIs), and basic troubleshooting within MicroFocus (now OpenText) Operations Bridge Manager (OBM) and Network Node Manager (NNMi). The ideal candidate must possess a solid foundational knowledge of IT infrastructure, have excellent attention to detail, and be highly capable of following established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for onboarding and issue resolution.

 

Work Location:

  • This position is 100% on-site located in Atlantic City, NJ.
  • Must be reliable, possess reliable transportation and be comfortable working 100% on-site. 
  • Evening and occasional overnight hours will be required to support Production onboarding activities.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Configuration Items (CIs) Management: Execute standard, repeatable procedures to add, configure, and maintain CIs across MicroFocus OBM and NNMi.
  • Device Onboarding: Follow step-by-step onboarding documentation to integrate new network devices, servers, and applications into the monitoring ecosystem.
  • Basic Troubleshooting: Perform Tier 1 / Tier 2 troubleshooting for CI discovery issues, agent connectivity problems, and basic monitoring alerts.
  • Documentation & Compliance: Ensure all CIs are tagged, grouped, and documented correctly according to enterprise standards.
  • Escalation: Identify when an issue falls outside of standard operating procedures and accurately escalate complex configuration or system issues to senior monitoring engineers.
  • Maintenance: Assist with routine system health checks and data cleanup tasks to ensure the monitoring environment remains accurate and up to date.
  • Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, highly organized, and reliable. Good written and verbal communication skills for documenting tickets and collaborating with senior engineers.
Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizenship Required
  • Must have the ability to obtain / maintain a Public Trust clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree and 0 years’ experience or Associate’s degree and 2 years’ experience or HS diploma/equivalent and 4 years’ experience
  • Experience in IT Operations, Network Operations Center (NOC) support, Helpdesk, or a junior systems/network administrator role.
  • Basic understanding of IT infrastructure, including networking concepts (SNMP, IP addressing, ping/traceroute) and standard server operating systems (Windows, Linux).
  • Exposure to enterprise monitoring systems. Previous hands-on experience with MicroFocus/OpenText OBM and NNMi is preferred, but experience with similar tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Datadog, PRTG, LogicMonitor) combined with a fast learning curve will be considered.
  • Proven ability to read, understand, and strictly adhere to technical documentation and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). 

Preferred skills:

  • Exposure to FAA programs or NAS systems.
  • CompTIA A+, Network+, or Server+
  • ITIL Foundation certification

Details

Target Salary Range: $51,000 - $82,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
