Program Overview
Wide-scope strategic U.S. Army mission support for expeditionary OCONUS joint task force mission. Key roles include strategic analysis, exercise planning, IT support, logistical planning, financial analysis, medical operations, public affairs, and executive administration.
About The Role

Peraton is currently seeking a talented Logistic Support Advisor to join Peraton’s Southern European Task Force – Africa (SETAF-AF) Strategic Mission Support II (SMS II) program, the Logistics Operations Division in the Directorate of Logistics, SETAF-AF.

 

Location: Full-time, On-site in Vicenza, Italy.

 

Role & Responsibilities: 

In this role, you will serve as the subject matter expert to the Government (US Army) in support of supply, property, and equipment accountability.  You will work with the G4, Directorate of Logistics and numerous Brigades and adjacent unit’s Logistics Personnel to ensure compliance with all Army regulations and directives to enable the success of the organization.

 

Under limited supervision, perform technical asset management work related to depot, local, or other supply activities. Tasks may be segregated by commodity area or function, and controlled in terms of difficulty, complexity, or responsibility.

 

You will provide the following functions in support of the Divisional level leadership:

  • Property Accountability & Asset Management:
    • Ensure 100% accountability of authorized equipment using Global Combat Support System- Army (GCSS-Army).
    • Conduct physical inventories, reconcile discrepancies, and prepare adjustment documents.
    • Manage redistribution and retrograde operations to optimize Army readiness.
    • Perform as DODAAC Coordinator for SETAF-AF.
  • Task Order Completion Training & Advisory Support:
    • Advise Property Book personnel on property accountability processes, GCSS-Army operations, and regulatory compliance.
    • Provide expert advice to government representatives on supply chain and logistical matters.
  • Audit Compliance & Records Management:
    • Maintain audit-ready records for inspections.
    • Ensure compliance with Army regulations, Command Supply Discipline Program (CSDP), and support audit readiness tasks.
  • Exercise & Operational Support:
    • Provide logistics and property accountability support for exercises and operations.
    • Planning and attending meetings, working groups, and in-progress reviews.
    • Inventory management utilizing an authorized Accountable Property System of Record (APSR) or manual procedures, including but not limited to: coordinate the orders of Major End Items and/or Non-expendables with the BN/BDE S4/PBO, storage of equipment, receipt of equipment, issue of equipment, inventory adjustment to maintain accurate data.
    • Redistribution of equipment as directed by the Government, retrograde of equipment, records management to meet audit requirements, electronic Financial Liability of Property Loss (EFLIPL) Management, Organizational Clothing and Individual Equipment (OCIE) management.
  • Turn In and Lateral Transfers:
    • Verify Property Book Records, conduct necessary inspections and prepare required forms.
    • Oversee and conduct the coordination with the Supply Support Activity (SSA) for scheduling, transportation, and proper condition coding.
    • Manage GCSS-Army to ensure the Property Book Office finalizes the transaction(s).
    • Conduct joint inventories to confirm serial numbers, serviceability, and completeness.
    • Coordinate logistics, update accountability systems, and submit all reports as required.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree and 8 years of relevant experience, or HS and an additional 4 years in lieu of the degree requirement.  
  • 6 years of U.S. Army experience. 
  • Minimum of 3 years of recent experience with U.S. Army accountability and property oversight services.
  • Knowledge of applications in a computerized environment, including spreadsheet applications and data bases (e.g. GCSS-A, EFLIPL, Decision Support Tool, FMSweb, AESIP, Excel, Access, Power Point).
  • U.S. citizenship required. 
  • Must possess an active Secret Security clearance.
  • Must meet visa and or work permit requirements for Italy to be considered eligible for employment.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 12 years of experience in US Army Logistics services.
  • Former US Army Senior NCO (MSG), Warrant Officer (CW2-CW5).
  • Bilingual Italian Language Proficiency a plus.

Details

Target Salary Range: $80,000 - $128,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
