Peraton is seeking an experienced and dynamic Cyber Security Lead to spearhead our Cyber division in support of a large-scale, $150M+ program. This senior leadership role is critical to the success of the program, requiring a seasoned professional with a proven track record of leading high-performing cyber teams within complex, enterprise-level environments. The ideal candidate will bring strategic vision, technical depth, and executive-level communication skills to drive mission outcomes and deliver results for our customer.
Key Responsibilites:
• Lead the design of security architectures incorporating defense-in-depth and Zero Trust principles.
• Direct implementation of security controls across network, endpoint, and data protection domains.
• Lead security technology evaluation, integration, and automation initiatives.
• Guide secure DevSecOps practices and security testing procedures.
• Provide technical leadership for security operations and incident response activities.
• Lead the Authority to Operate (ATO) process in alignment with NIST and DoD requirements.
• Oversee security assessments and manage POA&M; remediation efforts.
• Ensure proper use of enterprise mission assurance tools and security frameworks.
• Serve as the technical security liaison with Government stakeholders.

Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor’s or Masters degree with 10+ years of experience or (additional 6 years experience may substitute for degree).
• Top Secret/SCI clearance required. Must be able to Obtain CI Poly
• 10+ years of cybersecurity experience with security architecture expertise.
• Experience designing security solutions for DoD or IC systems.
• Knowledge of RMF and ATO processes.
• Understanding of NIST controls, DISA STIGs, and DoD directives.
• Experience implementing Zero Trust principles.
• Experience supporting highly secure environments
Preferred Qualifications:
• DoD 8570/8140 IAM Level III certification (CISSP, CISM, or equivalent).
